Sen. Dino Recall: Constituents laments forgery of signatures.

Information reaching THE LEAKAGES confirmed that the recent exercise to recall Sen. Dino Melaye of the Kogi West Senatorial District from the red chamber is a deliberate fabricated falsehood made to masquerade as the truth.

Several cases of forgery of constituents signatures in order to meet up with the needed requirements have also been reported by members of the constituency.

Gbenga Olorunfemi, a constituent advised INEC to make public the details of the recall register so that members of the constituency can verify their names and signatures.

I have been reliably informed that my name and signature is on the register, if this is true then those involved will have a case of forgery to face in the court of law, he said.

Another constituent who do not want his name mentioned said almost all the signatures were forged.

The governor, the Local Government Administrators and Aides of the government should be charged to court for forgery immediately without further delay.

Those who signed the register were family members of the governor's aides and few constituents who were given N1000 or N500. Some were even given N200, he concluded.

A pro Dino's group  under the aegis of Coalition of Enlightened Voters in Yagba land has also distanced itself from the recall describing it as a comedy.

The group said the recall exercise does not emanate from the electorate but from a sponsored enterprise based on political malice, initiated by interest outside the senatorial district and anchored by the state and local government appointees.

Voters were induced with cash, materials and lured into submitting their voters card after being deceived that the collection of the cards was for the purpose of population census, the group then call on INEC and security departments to commence full investigation into the whole hoax called recall process.

Recalled that few days ago, some members of the constituency alongside with some of the Governor's appointees from Kogiwest Senatorial District submitted to INEC collated signatures of constituents for the recall of Sen. Dino Melaye.

APC sweeps Benue local council seats

The Benue State Independent Electoral Commission (BSIEC) announced on Sunday that the All Progressive Congress (APC), had won all the 23 local government chairmanship seats in the elections held on Saturday.
It also announced that the party won all the councillorship positions, with some of the candidates returned unopposed.
BSIEC chairman John Tsuwa who declared the results in Makurdi, however, declined to release details of votes scored by the candidates.
“The figures are not ready. I will not entertain questions because this is not a press conference,,” he told curious newsmen.
Tsuwa said that eight political parties participated in the exercise and listed them to include Accord Party, APC, PDP, SDP, ACB, PPP, LP and NNPP.
He thanked security agencies for ensuring a smooth conduct of the elections, and expressed happiness that no case of violence or snatching of ballot box was reported throughout the exercise.
Yahya Bello media supporter. Prof. James, has this to say about Kogi Government:

"In fact I am tired of this whole thing. What is really happening? At first I thought it was just sheer hatred because the the governor was chosen to replace the late Audu. But this is beyond that. Everywhere you go, on social media, in the street people are not talking good of this government. Wouldn't it had been better not to have promised than promise and failed? First it was screening, a protracted screening fa. Many believed the screening was tactically prolonged because there is no money, some of us gullible supporters who doesn't even know what is happening in the government we hail rebuffed it, but evidence have shown that truly there is no money to pay. We were promised on or before May 30th without a Paris club refund condition, it came and passed we are still faced with non payment of Salary to civil servants. Pensioners crying day and night. I didn't envisage this when I throw my support for this government. This is not what we bargained for. Why is the new direction government playing leap service to the ASUU strike and Students resumption? Kogi State tertiary institutions have suddenly hibernated. Now our Hospitals are closed  down again. I just read that a patient died in Specialist, though is unconfirmed. Even if that news is false, that is because the state government allowed it. This is no longer ordinary. People have defended to the point that they have lost all their arsenals. Worse of it all is that out of all the 57 appointees recently appointed, non of them is speaking for the government they were appointed to serve. They are just there enjoying our common wealth while the state is boiling. GYB will regret for not taking charge of his government. I am seek and tired of all these bad news about the government I supported all these while. I never envisaged all these. How can everybody be against a government? They need to rethink and re strategies. I don't want to say I regret identifying with this government. Everything in Kogi State is on stand still. Salary, Pension, tertiary institutions, Hospital. Haba! Yet appointee pockets flows every month. I can't hold it any longer. I am for good governance".

Kogi Government wasted over N20m to mobilize constituents against Sen. Dino despite grappling with payment of Workers Salaries.

In his usual lackadaisical manner the governor of Kogi State has once again shown he is dispassionate about the plight of the civil servants who are being owed 15months salaries by using over N20m meant for workers salaries to mobilize protesters against one of the perceived opponent of the government, Sen. Dino Melaye.

A group of protester which were mobilized with the millions of tax payer's money stormed the state INEC office yesterday to submit a petition demanding for the recall of Sen. Dino Melaye from the senate.
Reports reaching the THE LEAKAGES confirmed that the protest was sponsored by the Governor through his Chief of Staff Edward Onoja who is said to be obviously angry over the way and manner the senator has been opposing the government obnoxious  policies.

After the millions of money was released from the state treasury through the Chief of Staff, one of the Governor's aides, the S.A political was then said to have been instructed to oversee the success of the protest and equally ensure the sharing of the money to protesters who came from the 65wards in the senatorial district.

Each of the protesters who came in two to three buses per ward were handed N5000 each after the protest while undisclosed amount of millions were also given out to media houses both in and out of the state to cover the protest.

Critical stakeholders in the state have reacted to the waste of state resources by the government despite owing workers salaries.

The protest has been described as total waste of time and resources.

The government have once again shown the world they have no interest of the state at heart, how can you use that amount for such purpose when people are dying of starvation due to non payment of salaries.
It's the height of wickedness of a government to its citizens, one of the stakeholders reacted.

Also contacting one of the party APC stakeholders from the district, he said the protesters only made themselves available for the protest in order to get what belongs to them.

The money belongs to them and they have to get it back directly or indirectly, so we are not worried.
How can you say you are recalling a performing senator when it's clearly spelt out in the constitution how a legislator can be recalled. Is that how to recall a legislator? he asked.

It's like chasing the wind trying to recall one of the best Senator in Nigeria today.
We are proud of senator Dino Melaye and we are with him.
Most times It's good you allow people to go and chop or get what belongs them.
Most of the protesters called us to seek our approval to take part in the protest and we told them to go ahead to collect their share of the money, he concluded.

Recalled that recently Sen. Dino Melaye have been one of the major critic of the government and had recently approach the court to sue the government and the house of assembly on the illegal constitution and extension of tenure of local government administrator in the state.

Governor Yahaya Bello has been in the news for his negative government policies since he came on board.
Kogi State seem to be in a mess under the governor's watch.

Democracy Day Celebration; Kogi governor hurriedly packaged expired rice for starving citizen.

Reports has confirmed that the rice shared to kogi citizens during the just concluded Democracy day Celebration was hurriedly packaged and has expired.

In his usual habitual treachery manner and part of ploy to cover his administration deficiencies and poor performance, the Kogi State governor hurriedly repackage expired rice in what he tagged "Bello food security program".

The poorly packaged rice carrying Bello's picture was shared through his appointees. One of the beneficiaries in Mopa Muro local government raised the alarm when she discovered that  an expired and rotten rice was packaged and shared to them to deceive the people.

The scenario became messier when almost 60% of those who checked their rice in that locality discovered same and protested the governor's attempt to poison them.
One of the protesting beneficiaries, who in anger said, "after this Pharaoh refused to pay us our salary for over 15months, he still want to poison and kill us".
"Since I was born, I never experience this type of inhuman treatment from any government".
Meanwhile, some who protested this demonic misbehaviour of the governor before his appointed were hurriedly given cash to please keep it as top secret.

One of his aides said "we have suffered much media backlash from recent mistakes of double registration to prolonged screening exercise  and can't afford to be on the media again for the wrong reason".

Kogi State has been in the news for negative reasons since the Governor came on board.
