GROUP LAUDS SENATOR SMART ADEYEMI DEFECTION TO APC, SAID DEFECTION IN THE BEST INTEREST OF THE PEOPLE

The recent defection of senator smart Adeyemi CON, a former uninterrupted eight years senator representing Kogi west senatorial district has been lauded by a support group called Senator Smart Adeyemi Continuity Movement SESACOM. In a statement released on Monday by the group at Lokoja, the group congratulated the senator for his decision to defect to the ruling party APC. The group said his decision to defect is in the best interest of the people of Kogi State. The defection to APC do not also translate to enmity with the PDP, politics is a game, you win today and may not tomorrow. The group also clearly state the reason the senator defected, the reason is an ambition to ensure that the living standard of Kogi westerners is being improved upon. That the neglect and unimpressive performance of the PDP for the past 12years had helped the APC become victorious in the last gubernatorial election last year. The group also described the defection has timely and politically correct, and the resultant effect will be the liberation and total emancipation of the people of Kogi West.
