Former Miss Kogi, Queen Folashade Olubo Set To Become Miss Nigeria 2016

The immediate past Miss Kogi, Queen Olubo Folashade has just stepped up her game in the beauty contest show in Nigeria with her recent qualification to contest along with 36 other beauty queens across the country for the 2016 Miss Nigeria pageant which will be held on the 19th of December, 2016 at the Eko Hotel Convention Centre, Victoria Island, Lagos.

The event which is being organised by the Daily Times Newspaper will have Otunba Gbenga Daniel, former Governor of Ogun State chair the grand finale.

Miss Olubo Folashade, whose passion for helping the needy and the less privileged in the society made her stand out among others.
Her time as Miss Kogi was highly productive as she engaged herself in youth empowerment and skill aquisition programs across the state.

When THE LEAKAGES contacted her, out of her busy schedule she hurriedly expressed why she decide to contest for the most respected crown in the country immediately after her handing over as Miss Kogi and what she intend to do if she wins the crown.

With a beautiful smile on her face, she reiterated that her conviction to contest first and foremost came from the Almighty God who saw her through her time as Miss Kogi.
In her words, i am grateful to Almighty God for seeing me through to this moment after my one year tenure as Miss Kogi, my conviction has always been God.

I am interested to become the next Miss Nigeria because i believe my passion in helping the needy and the less privileged should not be limited to Kogi State alone but also extended to other parts of the country.

My mission have always been youth and women empowerment via skill acquisition programs for the purpose of self reliance which has in turn reduce unemployment rate, in this regard i think i have written my name in gold in Kogi State.
I intend to do more of this on a larger scale across the country if i have the crown.
I therefore ask for your prayers and support in ensuring my success at the contest, she submitted.

The current Miss Nigeria, Queen Leese Peter-Vigboro is expected to speak on how her experience as Miss Nigeria gave the opportunity to give back to the community, as well as her training on non violent conflict resolution at the Martin Luther King Center, USA.

Queen Olubo Folashade will be the 40th Miss Nigeria if she wins and will be going with a brand new car and 3million Naira with opportunities to travel abroad for workshops and vacation.

Red carpets starts from 5pm to 7pm, event goes live by 7.30pm.
