Breaking: Kogi Worker Allegedly Dies due to two years unpaid salaries

Mr. Adewumi Adesoji, a teacher of Model school and St Paul Primary School in Iyamoye, Ijumu LGA of Kogi State has allegedly died of hypertension due to non payment of his salaries for two years.

Other teachers confirmed Mr. Adewumi has been battling with hypertension when things became very tough financially and could no longer pay his bills and cater for himself.

A friend of the deceased on facebook Olubiyo Joseph said Mr. Adewumi develop hypertension as a result of non payment of his salaries by Governor Yahaya Bello.

In his words "He was a teacher at Iyamoye, Ijumu LG of Kogi state. He died this morning after battling with hypertension. He was owed over two years salary by the clueless, accidental, wicked and pharaohic governor of the state. He became hypertensive as a result of non payment of his salary by the cruel governor. May God grant you eternal rest in Jesus mighty name.

The God of vengeance will fight for you. The God of Israel that never sleeps nor slumbers will fight for other maltreated workers of the state. #RIP#

I condole with the family on the recumb in quietus of the teacher. May God give you the fortitude to bear the irreparable loss" he concluded.

The post has generated mixed reactions on social media with commentators raining curses on Kogi government while others vows to get the government out of Lugard house come 2019.

Mr. Adewumi case is just one among several Kogi workers that had lost their lives due to unpaid salaries of over two years by the current administration of Yahaya Bello.
