We are god fearing people and it is very clear to us that the Senate has never been tested by Yagba East, one of the seven local government areas in today's Kogi West and it is only fair that we allow them produce the next Senator.
However, it is important to say that neither of the two local government areas in yagba land which constituted less than 20% of the voting capacity of kogi west is sincere in this like the Lokoja / Koto people, even when Yagba can't give the Senate to Yagba East- yet they are blackmailing them.on Yagba Federal House of Representatives.
In the face of this situation, it is only wise for the two other local government area; Yagba West and Mopamuro to drop all there interested candidates in the Senate, only then can we appeal to Yagba East to drop the Federal House of Representatives which automatically rotates to them as it is departing Yagba West.

The Bible says, that we shall know the truth and the truth shall set us free, we are not interested in whichever way to armstrong yagba east on the issue of house of reps, as some very selfish individuals from even Yagba east are trying to collude with some characters from Mopamuro to claim that they are cedeing the federal house of reps to them when in the real sense we now have even more people rising to contest against their real people.
We in the Area Council, therefore have sons and daughters who can can run for the Senate and we shall not fail to support them when they do rise. Since Mopamuro is running and Egbe is also running.
We will support Yagba East for the Federal House of Reps and particularly candidates from Oke Oyi, in as much as candidates are still running for red chamber, that is the Senate.
Today for example, Hon. Karimi is running from Egbe, in Yagba West, Rt. Hon. Chief Clarence is running from Mopa in Mopamuro, so also is Hon. T. J Yusuf, Senator Smart Adeyemi, Senator Dino Melaiye from Kabba and Ijumu respectively, as well as other aspirants.
May we ask you sincerely with the fear of God, that, when did we start making the House of Representatives a precondition for the Senate of Kogi West.
We refuse to join a course of selfish and parochial politicians and asked them, to stop using the name of Area Council to write what they want to tinker or discolor in their selfish favour in our name, we are credible people.
They should come out boldly as a sinister group that they are to say, they believe they can only win Senate by taking the Federal House of Reps from Oke Oyi People to Mopa: knowing fully well too that they don't have the capacity to give Yagba East the Senate, but to deceive them and make them loose out on both fronts.
We also decry these kind of desperate acts by these desperate politicians who perpetrate shifting the goal post after the kick has been taken. While we also implore all and sundry to watch out for desperate politicians who always thinks of themselves rather than the people.
We sincerely call on all our people to pray fervently for Yagba to be delivered from the hands of these hawks who are planting seeds of discord amongst us. We pray they will not succeed in destroying Yagba Land because of their selfish political interest.
On this note, we call on great Yagba sons and daughters to open their eyes very clearly and refuse as well as reject politicians who have represented us at one time or the other with poor results such as introducing thuggery, drunkenness, prostitution and underdevelopment to our land.
Those who have been in one office or the other and has not brought anything home for the people, should be booted away by our PVC.
They should be denied whatever they are contesting right from the primaries, as the masses will reject any party that fields them, as we must save our children from these pain that has been visited on the land.
The Area Council people, hereby calls for a radical departure from electing drunks into public offices or people who endorsed occultism, or indulges in rituals as we have witnessed in the ugly past, we now know that the, same evil follows them while they are in office. Let everyone look back and please remember.
In conclusion, we are against tricking the people of Yagba East out of the House of Reps when indeed you cannot give them the Senate, clearly House of Reps is for 3 LGAs out 7 LGAs while Senate is for 7 LGAs and not 3 hence cannot be preconditions for each other. There was a time Ijumu was in the Senate and House of Reps and the world dis not collapse because it naturally rotated to them
