Fayemi's men, Ayo Aluko and Olaiya, a dismissed former TUC chairman, today led thugs to invade the State Secretariat, Ado Ekiti, assaulting workers.

The Spokeman of Ekiti State Government, Lere Olayinka has said that Fayemi’s men,  Ayo Aluko and Olaiya, a dismissed former TUC chairman, today led thugs to invade the State Secretariat, Ado Ekiti,  assaulting workers.

He claimed the assault is currently ongoing in the state.

Lere said this was done in their desperate bid to force the  workers to go on strike thereby shutting down the system till October 16.

The union leaders  had earlier threatened strike action but they obviously saw reasons they were informed of N11bn refund to Ekiti State on construction of federal roads and N7bn Paris Club payment that the FG refused to release to the State.

Fayemi and his APC got the FG to withhold the N11bn refund on FG roads construction and N7bn Paris Club refund,  making N18bn.

Had the N18bn been released,  substantial part of the salary arrears would have been cleared but owing to politics,  the fund (already approved and paid to some states) was not released to Ekiti.

Not happy that the union leaders did not declare strike action as expected,  Fayemi's men led by Olaiya and Aluko stormed the State secretariat with thugs, attacking workers. Many lawyers at the ministry of justice were beaten.
