Jubilation in ADC Secretariat as Ipinmisho, JJ Orungun and Aiyenale picks and submit nomination forms.

Members of ADC in Ijumu and Kabba/Bunu Local Government Areas of Kogi State erupted in jubilation Wednesday as Alhaji Shuaib Ipinmisho picks Ijumu House of Assembly nomination and expression of interest forms alongside a renowned Doctor of Kogi State University, Dr. JJ Orungun who also obtain the nomination forms to contest the Kabba/Bunu/Ijumu House of Representative under the platform of African Democratic Congress(ADC).

Ipinmisho and Alfred Aiyenale, the consensus aspirants for Ijumu and Kabba/Bunu House of Assembly respectively and Dr. JJ Orungun, the people friendly aspirant for Kabba/Bunu/Ijumu House of Representatives, along with several other ADC members and supporters stormed the State Secretariat of the party in Lokoja together to purchase and submit their nomination and expression of interest forms. 
However, the unity of purpose demonstrated by the three aspirants sparked wild jubilation across Ijumu and Kabba/Bunu Local Government Areas, as thousands of supporters defied all obstacles to celebrate what they described as a “welcome development”


One of the major party stakeholders, Mr. Segun Adeyemi said: “I have been waiting for this day. Today I am the happiest person because we have been liberated from political slavery in our local governments areas. He said the three aspirants who came together to purchase and submit their forms will bring about the needed development to the people.

“This is true democracy, democracy is to allow people benefits from the scarce resources God has endowed us with. He urge the people to vote ADC come 2019 for total liberation.

Receiving the aspirants at the party secretariat is the State Organizing Secretary, Hon. Yahaya Adesayo Ismail.

He welcome the mammoth crowd and assure them of level playing ground for all aspirants in line with electoral laws. He urge the supporters to go back home and preach the gospel of ADC to the people. 

According to him, the ruling APC has failed to fulfill its campaign promises, adding that: “Look at how Kogi is being governed. Non payment of salaries is now the APC trademark. I’m optimistic that ADC would get to power in 2019 to revamp this ailing economy and better the life of Kogites.


In his reaction, Alhaji Ipinmisho thanked the party officials for the opportunity to serve ljumu people. 
“I am overwhelmed by the mammoth crowd here today all in solidarity to rescue Ijumu local government from misrepresentation occasioned by greed and selfishness. 

“I am here today with my brothers, Prof. JJ Orungun and Chief Alfred Jimoh Aiyenale to purchase and submit our nomination and expression of interest forms”
The crowd here today is a testimony of the quality and competence of all aspirants present here today, he said.

Chief Alfred Jimoh Aiyenale while addressing the crowd said ADC has come to Kogi State to liberate the people. He promised to bring effective representation to Kabba/Bunu if giving the opportunity.



The supporters who came in different campaign T-shirts and caps sang victory songs, danced and had good times at the party secretariat.
