The meeting which was held at the instance of the Governor was aimed at settling the ongoing factional crisis ahead of the APC governorship primaries in the state.

Reliable source revealed that the Haddy Ametuo-led faction who had gone to court seeking reinstatement as the authentic APC state exco agreed to meet with the Governor in the overall interest of the party believing that they will be able to find solution to the problem.

The Governor who addressed both factions pleaded that the Haddy Ametuo faction withdraw the case at the court before 12pm on Monday in the interest of the party and in turn agreed to meet with yet to be known demands of the group.

Responding to the Governor plea, the Haddy Ametuo group said he and other excos had accepted the Governor invitation to the meeting in the interest of the party ahead of the coming elections but regarding withdrawal of the case at the court, the group said the governor will have to allow them make wide consultation with over 200,000 members of the group before any decision could be made.  Meanwhile the group embraced each other and took photograph together as one indivisible party in the state.
