KOGI GUBER: KOGI STATE CLERGYMEN ENDORSED Admiral Usman Jibril AS DESERVING CANDIDATE.

Ahead of November 16 governorship election in Kogi  State, Clergymen under the aegis of Council of Ministers in Kogi  State have endorsed Vice Admiral Jibrin Usman, (retd), of the All Progressive Congress  ( APC)   saying that God revealed him to them of his ability to lead the state to the promised land.

At a press conference in Lokoja yesterday, the spokesman of the group, Bishop Paul Johnpaul said their decision to back the retired Naval officer,  besides spiritual revelation,  was based on his pedigree, capacity and ability to move the state to enviable heights.

He pointed out that Admiral Usman who is contesting under the platform of the All Progressives Congress is a man of integrity, who has all it takes to take the state to another level of development.

According to him, they decided to speak out because the state needs a credible leader at the moment, considering the fact that we are at crossroads, adding that Kogi under Admiral Usman would witness accelerated development.

He averred that Admiral Usman is a man of vision, who would put the state on a sound economic pedestal, if given the mandate to lead the state, calling on well-meaning people of the state to collectively work together in ensuring positive change in the coming dispensation.

Johnpaul, therefore, stressed the need for the people of the state to support the retired military officer who has a laudable and people-oriented programme aimed at repositioning the state.

He equally enjoined the Independent National Electoral Commission to do its best, in ensuring a credible, free and fair process, stressing that the ugly experience of the last three and half years, the state deserves a better deal.

The clergyman further emphasized the need for the people of the state to shun all acts capable of causing crisis before, during and after the governorship poll, maintaining that election should not be seen as do or die affair.

He said   the members of the group were drawn from all the Christian denominations, including the Pentecostal, protestant and catholic faiths.
