Kogi State Needs A New Story, A Better Story, Jibrin Usman States Seven(7) Points Action Agenda.

The former Navy Boss and Leading APC Aspirant, Jibrin Usman has insisted Kogi State needs a new and better story in the coming November Governorship Election in the State.

Jibrin said at the moment and over the last few years, Kogi state has degenerated rapidly, leadership has failed, development has come to stand still, infrastructures and basic social service have broken down while government has failed in its obligations to the governed.

The former Navy Boss Stated this in Anyigba last Saturday at the official declaration ceremony where he also outlined his Seven(7) points Action Plan to mammoth crowd who graced the occasion.

He said Kogi state remain the most economically viable state in Nigeria, blessed with abundant human and natural resources where conditions, and great potentials exist for spectacular economic growth and human development and therefore distressing that we have not succeeded in harnessing our enormous potentials for the prosperity and the wellbeing of our people, to the extent that we are now in grave danger over a failed State.
The alarming youth unemployment; worsening poverty, massive decay in our infrastructures and the increasing loss of faith by the citizens in the ability of government to meet its obligations to the governed are signals of failure of leadership.
Salaries and allowances, pensions and gratuities remain unpaid and sometimes paid in pitiable percentages of ten (10%) twenty (20%)
Even pensioners were not spared.
Our people have been impoverished and are dying daily while Civil Servants have become beggars due to prolonged non payment of salaries and allowances, he said.

Jibrin added that his style of leadership shall be all inclusive, characterized by consensus building and popular participation while describing the “carry go” thing or the display of“4 + 4” in the face of monumental failure and
historic award winning non-performance despite unprecedented huge resources as absolute madness that cannot work.

My Administration if elected will outlaw and criminalize percentage payment of salaries and restore the lost glory of Kogi State, he emphasized.

The seven(7) points actin plan as stated by Jibrin include:
  1. Employment generation / Agriculture
  2. Security
  3. Energy and infrastructural development
  4. Education and Social services
  5. Rural development and industrialization
  6. Economic development and Poverty reduction
  7. Youth and Women empowerment

Finally he said he is on a rescue mission; he call on all Kogites to join him to rescue beloved Kogi state and Kogites from the ravages of mal-administration and inept leadership.
