GYB's IDAH HONOUR, PROJECTS COMMISSIONING AND TUMULTUOUS CROWD, ATTESTATION TO HIS ACCEPTABILITY IN IGALA LAND AND A SIGN OF AN UNASSAILABLE VICTORY-Omoluabi Bode Adeyemi

The second runner-up for 2019 Kogi West Senatorial election and Candidate of African Democratic Congress, Omoluabi Bode Adeyemi  has ascribed the conferement of a senior Igala Chieftaincy title on Governor Yahaya Bello and his running mate, Chief Edward David Onoja by the Attah of Igala to the quality of projects executed in Igala land by the Yahaya Bello led administration in the last three and half years. The Senatorial Candidate says the commitment of Governor Yahaya Bello to electrification and infrastructural development in the area is indeed commendable even amidst lean resources.

The statement which was contained in a press release duly signed and made available to the newsmen also says the unequalled development of Kogi East by the current administration earned the Governor and his Deputy such a chieftaincy title. The statement also listed projects like Rural electrification such as Omala villages electrification, roads construction such as Ankpa Township road, Umomi-Idah Raod, construction of infrastructure such as Igala Unity House, Kogi State College of Health Technology, Idah and the flag off of the historic Idah-Agenebode bridge construction and several others.

Omoluabi says these projects are key to social economic and wellbeing of the people of Igala land. He says the Governor has demonstrated unusual courage and dedication to balancing Projects distribution across the state. He says the bold step of Governor Yahaya Bello to stamp out ethnicity,  division, bigotry and chauvinism is a clear demonstration of his unquenchable thirst for unity, oneness and progress. He says his re-election on the 16th of November will obviously end any kind of propensity for ethnicity and division that have characterised the polity and governance of Kogi state since creation.
I was at Idah myself,  I saw huge show of love by Igala people, I saw undeniable acceptability of the Governor and his Deputy by Igala people, I saw commitment to good  governance and development of every part of the state by the Governor which is a strong assurance to me that Yahaya Bello's leadership is one geared towards a United Kogi State. With the projects commissioned and others seen along our way, it is now obviously undeniable that GYB has his footprints in Igala land. It is also a clear fact that his Deputy, Chief Edward David Onoja has indeed worked assiduously for the development of Igala land. I am therefore confident that he will win his challenger landslide even in Kogi East. I commend the Attah of Igala, Agabaidu Ameh Oboni II for being courageous, rescillient and forthright in his unflinching support for a non Igala contestant simply on the alter of good governance, this is indeed a demonstration of Attah's love for good governance and his disaffection for ethnic frivolities. I am therefore more confident that GYB/CEDO continuity is a done deal* Omoluabi says.

The tumultuous crowd as witnessed during the historic visit to Idah, the traditional seat of Igala Kingdom can't be for fun, their enthusiasm, energy and visible expression of happiness cannot be taken for another thing but love and readiness to deliver the GYB/CEDO ticket for November 16th election. The outpouring of love and support also put an end to insinuation that Igalas will vote their son *I know a little thing about Igala land, unlike the other ethnic nationalities, Igala is the only place where non son of the soil can live and become part of them forever without discrimination, examples abound of people who were originally not from Igala land but raised there and have today either been elected or holding positions of authority. Recent history has shown that an average Igala man loves anyone that come to stay in his land and treats him/her as brother/sister,  the love shown to the Governor has now shown that they appreciate good governance, it has shown that they are a mature, exposed and cosmopolitan race. This is the confidence that November 16th election will be about history of good governance of the two parties, history of readiness of the two candidates to promote development and demonstration of tact, will and capacity that will determine their votes, and Governor Yahaya Bello is far ahead in these areas* Omoluabi says.

He urged the people of Kogi East not to be deceived by ethnicity and division that the PDP is known for, he encouraged the people to live above sentiment but face development and unity the state currently enjoy. He charged them to support the total enthronement of Youths in governance, he says young people are not guided by tribe and tongue but best practices and progress anywhere they are
