PRESS RELEASE ON COVID-19 SOCIAL RESTRICTIONS IN KABBA/BUNU LGA.

The fight to protect us from #COVID19 will involve rapidly evaluating situations and making decisions.

In our bid to fight #COVID19 and protect our residents owing to the surge in the spread of the Corona Virus in which Nigeria has recorded its very first casualty, the Executive Governor of Kogi State has directed the following:

1. Okada services suspended indefinitely

2. Market and other gathering suspended indefinitely

3. ALL worship centers suspended indefinitely

4. Schools (public and private) are hereby closed indefinitely.

5. All other social gatherings like weddings, funerals, naming ceremonies, bar and gathering of more 30 people are also hereby suspended.

Consequently, visits to the office of the SSA Security, Kabba/Bunu LG and other offices are hereby postponed indefinitely and official appointments canceled.

All heads of security agencies are by this release directed to monitor and enforce strict compliance.

Traditional and religious leaders are to please encourage compliance to among their subjects and/or followers.

Please let us all play our parts and avoid reckless actions that will put ourselves, families and the communities in danger. With the cooperation of the people towards obeying the public health guidelines, I believe this will pass us by in no time.

The required government agencies will be monitoring. Let us take #COVID19 seriously and observe good personal hygiene and other recommended precautions.
