A former Gubernatorial aspirant of the All Progressive Congress in Kogi State, Engr Olushola George Olumoroti has written a short but touching piece about his late wife, Engr(Mrs) Funmi Olumoroti, nee Aderibigbe who passed on exactly a year ago.
Mrs Funmi Olumoroti was a trained engineer, business woman and supportive wife of great standing. She is reputed for her solidarity and support to her husband during the 2015 APC gubernatorial election. She was visibly seen at all campaign programme of her husband, unlike wives of political leaders.
Mrs Olumoroti was also known to be a pillar of moral support to her husband during all of the empowerment programme and developmental activities of her husband. She was always physically present during the yearly widow empowerment programme of her husband. She had endearing popularity in Kogi political circles, especially in Okun tribe where her husband hails from.

Today makes it exactly one year ago I and your children bid you a final farewell from this sinful world as you transited to great beyond to be with God…
Your memory is the greatest treasure to hold in my heart forever; you are such a special person to us that we cannot replace, your special love for us we cannot find replacement, the special space you occupied in our hearts remain void and the special care we get from you we miss. My heart aches with sadness, my secret tears flow, for what it means to lose you no one will ever know or understand…but I take solace in God almighty who has been merciful to us and kept us safe and strong.
Death is the golden key that opens the gate of eternity for you, and I take solace in the assurance that you have transitioned to be with Jesus…Agbeke mi; I love you but God loves you more! Continue to sleep in the bosom of the Lord until we meet to part no more
