STEVE BABAEKO'S AAAN PRESIDENCY VICTORY; REWARD FOR CREATIVITY, CONSISTENCY, COMMITMENT-HON. TEEJAY

Permit me to use this medium to congratulate Mr. Steve Babaeko; Chief Creative Officer and Chief Executive Officer of X3M Ideas, one of Nigeria's fastest growing communication agencies, on his recent emergence as the National President of the Association of Advertising Agencies of Nigeria (AAAN).

That Mr. Babaeko, having functioned previously as National Vice President and National Publicity Secretary of the AAAN, received the overwhelming endorsement and trust of members of the Association to be their National President, is a worthy recognition and serial appreciation of his passion and commitment to the growth and development of the advertising and brand management industry in Nigeria. One is particularly happy that, with his emergence as the National President of the AAAN, Mr. Babaeko has joined the highly exclusive list of distinguished founding fathers, czars, and leading lights of the advertising industry, such as Dr. Biodun Shobanjo, Sir Steve Omojafor, Mr. Funmi Onabolu, Mr. Ikechi Odigbo, Mrs. Bunmi Oke and Mr. Kelechi Nwosu, who at various stages occupied similar position.

In his over two decades experience in the industry as a critical stakeholder (from being a staff, worker to founder and owner) at MC & A Saatchi & Saatchi, Prima Garnet, 141 Worldwide and X3M Ideas, Mr. Babaeko has shown continued creativity, consistency and commitment to the realisation of corporate objectives and targets.

Since founding X3M Ideas in 2012, Mr. Babaeko has distinguished himself as one of the brilliant and creative minds in the advertising industry. Through his proven doggedness, focus, passion, drive and tenacity, his agency has contributed to the success stories of some of African's biggest brands including Globacom Limited, Dangote Group and Multichoice Limited.

Indeed, these lofty attributes and achievements have not gone unnoticed by local and international bodies, groups and associations. Aside being a multiple award winner, Mr. Babaeko emerged the only Nigerian named in Adweek's elite list of 13 Global creative leaders in 2019. Also, for the past three years, he has being a Jury Member of the New York Advertising Festival. Similarly, he has being a Jury Member of the Cannes (France) Lions of International Festival of Creativity.

Happily, Mr. Babaeko in all of these, typifies the true spirit and character of an Owe person. At every of his professional duties, business endeavors and other engagements, Mr. Babaeko displays passion, hard work, probity, transparency, sincerity, loyalty and forthrightness (which are the hallmarks of every Owe person), in meeting standards and achieving goals.

As I join other sons and daughters of Oweland in congratulating our very dear Mr. Babaeko, for bringing honour, glory and recognition to Kabba and kogi state , I pray that God Almighty will grant him more blessings. Also, I pray that the wisdom, knowledge and understanding to function effectively and efficiently in this new professional calling is released upon him, Amen.
