Yahaya Bello: Supreme Court verdict victory for all Kogite, says Olowodola

An APC leader and Kogi philanthropist , Elder Benjamin Olowodola has rejoiced with the government and people of Kogi State on the victory of governor Yahaya Bello and his Deputy, Chief Edward Onoja at the Supreme Court.

Recall that a 7-man panel of Justices led by the Chief Justice of Nigeria, Justice Tanko Muhammad on Monday affirmed the election of Governor Bello in two judgements dismissing the separate appeals filed by the candidate of PDP, Musa Wada and and her SDP counterpart, Natasha Akpoti in the November 16, 2019 governorship election.

Olowodola while felicitating with the Governor described the Supreme Court verdict as the triumph of the Rule of Law.

He added that the ruling will further deepen the country's democratic ethos and culture.

In a release he endorsed on Wednesday Olowodola called on all Kogi indigenes to join the Governor in building the state, emphasising that it is a victory for all Kogites.

"Undoubtedly there is no victor or vanquished in this contest. It is a collective victory for all of us. The legal tussle has ended for good.

"Now is the time to put all that has happened behind and focus on building Kogi.

"The door of our party is very open to those who wish to lend their support as the Governor has expressly and consistently extended hands of fellowship to all in building the state" he said.

Olowodola also wished Governor Bello and his Deputy a successful tenure.
