SGF COMMISSIONS ELECTRIFICATION PROJECT IN KWANDE

-Hon. Ugbor makes case for Nigeria-Cameroun border road.


The Secretary to the Government of the Federation, HE Sen. Dr. George Akume presided over the commissioning of the electrification project linking Achia to the National grid, a significant development made possible through the unwavering commitment and initiative of Hon. Terseer Ugbor  Member of the House of Representatives Kwande/Ushongo Federal Constituency.


Speaking at the event, Hon. Ugbor utilized the platform to advocate for the pivotal Nigeria-Cameroon border road. Highlighting the strategic significance of this roadway, which traverses from Ugbema to Jato-Aka and extends through Kashimbila to Cameroon, Hon. Ugbor underscored its potential to foster trade relations between the neighboring countries. He emphasized that the establishment of the Nigerian-Cameroonian international border via Kwande Local Government in Benue State has garnered official approval, indicating the promising prospects for the intensification of economic activities within the region.




The Deputy Chairman, Committee on Environment took a moment to express heartfelt appreciation to the SGF for gracing the occasion and bestowing constant support upon the Kwande/Ushongo Federal Constituency. In a powerful display of unity and commitment, he pledged unwavering support from his constituency for the renewed hope of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu's administration.


The event also witnessed the revered presence of the Kwande LG Traditional Council, led by Ter-Kwande Engr. Timothy Ahile, who, in a resonant address, commended the steps taken by Hon. Ugbor. Graciously acknowledging the efforts of the SGF, Ter-Kwande called attention to the economic benefits that the construction of the Jato-Aka road would yield. 


Several notable dignitaries and sons of Kwande who accompanied the SGF include Dr Terhemen Tarzor, Hon. Chris Tarka, Hon. Adaa Maagbe, and Barr. Vincent Uji, Chief Akange Audu, Hon. Matias Buan, Col. Edwin Jando, Chief Steven Lawani, Pharm. Patrick Ahenjir, Hon. Terlumun Akputu, Engr. Nick Wende, Hon. Mike Msuaan, Hon. B.B. Nungwa, Hon.Terdoo Kenti, Hon. Emmanuel Vambe, Hon. Orjir Gbande, and Hon. Torhile Uchi, among others.
