Welcome to 2018, Our year of collective prosperity... Omoluabi

I use this rare but privileged opportunity to say happy New year to the religious leaders, royal fathers, opinion makers, political stalwarts, women, youths, students and the entire people of Kogi west.

As a religious people, 1st of January signifies the beginning and newness of everything to us. It is a time of reflection, appraisals, resolution and decision making to us as individuals and collectively as a people.

As we reflect on where we are coming from, I charge us to take deep and informed decisions on the lessons learnt, resolve the issues thrown up in our hearts and form a formidable conclusion that will guide our activities going forward.

As a Senatorial district, I urge us all to be resolute, determined and ready to effect the needed change as we move towards primary election this year leading to 2019 general elections.

Year 2018 offers us a brilliant opportunity to prepare process that will throw up new leaders for the journey of another four (4) years. As we begin the activities of the year, I wish to remind us of our resolve to represent your at the Senate in 2019. Our ambition is one that is anchored on restoring the lost hope of the people in governance and representation. It is one predicated on the immediate need to rebuild, reform, restore and reposition Kogi West for the daunting challenges ahead. It's therefore important to enjoin us to remain commited to the course of restoration of hope, rebuilding of abandoned infrastructures, genuine empowerment of women and youths, provision of sustainable primary healthcare and above all reconnect the people back to government through virile, commited, patriotic and sincere representation.

I encourage you all to keep hope alive, remain law abiding and peaceful in all our conducts.

It's indeed a new dawn in Kogi west.

I welcome and congratulate you for making it to 2018.

Happy New year,

Omoluabi Bode Adeyemi  (OBA)
