Youths/Women Entrepreneurship Empowerment: Omoluabi sponsors 1000 Youths & Women

A Senatorial Aspirant for Kogi west and prominent community leader, Omoluabi Bode Adeyemi has commenced sponsorship of one thousand youths and women on Skills acquisition and entrepreneurial empowerment across the seven local government of Kogi West senatorial district. In view of the prevailing economic hardship that has caused huge unemployment of young persons, Omoluabi Bode Adeyemi has considered the option of entrepreneurial development as a credible, sustainable and impactful alternative to the endless search for white collar job among the young people. This development necessitates an immediate training of one thousand youths across the senatorial district.

The empowerment which has been described as apolitical but a genuine patriotic effort to assist the youths and women in  their quest for survival amidst harsh economic reality.  The training exercise which will commence in the first week of February is expected to engage the beneficiaries in the area of Soap making, Paints making, Catering services, Digital photography, tie and die processing etc. Each beneficiary is expected to get training in minimum of two and maximum of three area of discipline.

Applicant's nomination forms which have been sent to each local government of the senatorial district shall be given out to beneficiaries through the Traditional rulers, Religious leaders, Community development associations, Political leaders, Artisan groups, Trade Unions, special personalities, youths and students associations.

 The training shall be held at the local government headquarters of each LGAs of Kogi West senatorial district.  The scheme hopes to assist the beneficiaries with token sum of money to start up after the training exercise.

In his words, Omoluabi Bode Adeyemi described the youths as the most important segment of the society given their zeal, energy, ability and population hence the need to get them positively engaged for the good of our society. He promised to always do his best to ensure that the Nigerian youths takes their place of pride in nation building which will only work when they are positively engaged in a descent calling. Omoluabi  also said the effort shall deliberately reduce crime rate, unemployment and in turn promote the economic wellbeing of our people.
