2019: Engr. George Irechukwu picks APGA senatorial form, promises quality representation.

A multi talented skilled professional, first class civil emgineer, chattered accountant and former commissioner for Works and later commissioner for Finance in Imo state, Engr. George Irechukwu, has picked the nomination and intent form to contest for Imo East(Owerri Zone) Senate under the All Progressive Grand Alliance(APGA).

Speaking with journalists in Abuja after picking his nomination forms at the APGA secretariat on Wednesday, Engr. George Irechukwu thanked the people of his Senatorial District for their calls on him to contest for the senate and promised to represent them effectively.

My intention of contesting the Senatorial election is to make laws that will have direct positive impact on the people of my senatorial district. I will ensure I make laws that will help our youth build capacity and convert the capacity to wealth creation, ditto for the women”

When asked if there’s vacancy at the senate, he responded that the man at the senate has created vacancy already by wanting to run for Governorship despite he’s yet to finish his first term.

“Am a child of God and the Bible says that blessed is the man that come in the name of the Lord, so there’s vacancy and the only person who can effectively fill the vacancy is me”

When also asked what he will be bringing on board, he said he will be bringing excellence on board with the objective of excelling.

“In the 9th Senate, those that will be coming with me from APGA in Imo State are quality people, Imo State will bring so much quality in the performance of the 9th Senate”

Engr. George Irechukwu said after being inaugurated as a senator in the 9th Senate, it’s going to be a case of buy one get two free because as a former commissioner for works and finance, i already have a development blue print and all I need do is update it to today’s reality.

Speaking further, Engr. George Irechukwu maintained that he would do his best to ensure that he carry every one along, stressing that his victory at the poll in 2019 will make a tremendous impact for the development of Imo East which according to him would continue to serve his people for the better.
