Exposed! Kogi Government set to obatain Another N11bn Loan

THE LEAKAGES has reliably gathered that the Kogi State government has perfected plans to obtain another loan to the tune of 11bn.

The Commissioner of Finance, Idris Ashiru was said to be at the Federal Ministry of Finance Abuja four days ago to perfect all the arrangement for the release of the loan but was denied due to quick intervention from stakeholders who insisted the loan will be misappropriated if released.

The Kogi State Speaker, Prince Kolawole Mathew who is known as a rubber stamp speaker to the Governor is said to have also given his approval to obtain the loan on behalf of the state assembly without the knowledge  of other members.

The Speaker is notoriously known for taking bribes to do the bidding of the executive at the expense of the assembly and other members of the house.

Recalled that from October last year to January this year the Governor has obtained a total of N14bn loan, N4bn for the establishment of a non functional rice mill and N10bn for the payment of outstanding salaries despite all the bailout funds and PARIS refunds in billions of naira accessed by the government.

Kogi state workers are still being owed over two years salaries, reason for taking the loan is still unknown at the moment.

Kogi West 2019: A winning Streak For Teejay Yusuf.

Hon. Tajudeen Yusuf(Teejay)

The 2019 election is just by the corner and the race to win the 109 senatorial seats of the Senate is now in full gear in all parts of the country. Among likely aspirants are incumbent Senator Dino Melaye who is yet to declare his intention to run officially, many sitting senators, sitting governors and House of Representatives members.
It is an election meant for the big men and women of politics.

One of the 109 senatorial district in Nigeria, Kogi-West will be deciding between sending an experienced legislator and a fiasco to represent its interest at the Senate.
Kogi West is a well known senatorial districts in Nigeria and therefore all eyes will be on who represents the district come 2019.

The principal aspirant contesting for this legislative position is Hon. Tajudeen Yusuf, a two term member presently representing Kabba/Bunu/Ijumu Federal Constituency at the House of Representatives, is of the PDP and he is the chairman House Committee on Capital Market and Institutions

Before his aspiration to represent the good people of Kogi west, his private sector experience spanned 12 years while his legislative experienced is unmatchable as he has been legislating for the past 7 years.

Hon. Teejay political popularity and goodwill among the good people of Kabba/Bunu/Ijumu federal constituency made him won the constituency PDP ticket in 2011 primaries defeating the then incumbent Dino Melaye.

The people thereafter overwhelmingly voted for him and he won landslide in the preceding 2011 general elections.

Hon. Teejay effective representation led to his consecutive re-election in 2015 leading to his present position in the Green Chamber of the National Assembly.

He could only have had such winning streak through effective representation and delivering of democracy dividends.

In Kabba/Bunu/Ijumu where he presently represents, Hon. Tajudeen Yusuf fondly called Teejay, is noted for community development in the form of provision of social amenities like transformers, boreholes, classroom blocks, educational empowerment, free health care and other humanitarian cum philanthropic service.

As a legislator, it is on record that he was instrumental to the motion that called for the need for immediate commencement of rehabilitation work on Kabba-Obajana Federal Road which is near completion. As the chairman house Committee capital Market and institutions, he has successfully secured employment for about 70 youths in different sectors.
(Pls Watch out for Teejay Score Card from 2011 till date)

Another factor that may count in favour of Teejay clinching the exalted senatorial seat includes his consistency as a politician. Since he joined partisan politics, Teejay has remained a democratic under the changing political party structure in Nigeria. Teejay has not oscillated between political parties as is common with a lot of Nigerian politicians blinded by personal ambition.
With Kabba/Bunu/Ijumu in particular consistently returning the democrat to power since 2001, the senatorial district does not appear to have any reason to change the democratic colouration of its voting patterns. Indeed, with a tested and experienced legislator like Teejay contesting on the PDP platform, it is expected that the tradition of the district voting the best man for the job is not about to change in 2019.

The standing of the political parties presently and how they are perceived is also likely to attract votes for Teejay. With an ageing and crisis ridden APC facing a very real challenge from the new kid on the block, bad governance especially in Kogi State, PDP and many Nigerians clamouring for changing the “change”, APC candidates however credible they may be will contend with the albatross of APC representing all the things that are wrong with Nigeria while PDP candidates will likely reap from a clamour for changing the “Change” that is pervasive in the air.

And since his landslide victory at the PDP primaries is guaranteed, Teejay has hit the ground running with interaction and consultation for his parties to all relevant stakeholders and potential voters. He has received endorsement from Various groups and traditional leaders in his district as well as from political stakeholders.

During Teejay empowerment program, the red cap chiefs and other stakeholders throw their weight behind his Senatorial bid based on his track record and consultation with them.

As things stand, one cannot but see the political winning streak of Teejay that started in 2001 which will continue in 2019 to reach the zenith of his legislative career.

Re- Dino Melaye should allow President Buhari to be at peace; Lauretta Onochie is an Aso Villa Dog, her comment, a mere junks.

When truth stares the face of a sycophant, it displeases her unholy face and mind.

Our attention has been drawn to a discontented and uncharitable comment credited to one Lauretta Onochie, a Social Media aide to President Buhari while reacting to the statement credited  to the Chairman Senate C'ttee on FCT, distinguished Sen Dino Melaye at the floor of the Senate calling on President Buhari to apologise to the Senate over his uncomplimentary comment.

Onochie had described Sen Melaye has somebody in delusional state and currently on bail.
We wish to remind Lauretta Onochie, the Aso Villa Dog that her comment is most meaningless, shameful, highly discontent and irresponsible.

It's on unfortunate and disturbing that the clueless Presidential social media aide who enjoys taxpayers money as a govt appointee couldn't argue or defend the weighty fundamental issues raised against the President, but rather, she unprofessionally and disgustingly resulted into name calling in an distracting attempt to attract the very costly and precious attention of the award winning Senator, Dino Melaye.

We wish to educate her that their is no where in the Nigerian statue book where allegations becomes a sentence. So for her to say Sen Dino is on bail and can't talk as part of her defence is shameful, meaningless, watery and irresponsible that is equivalent to junks.

Sen Melaye relying on Order of 14 of the Senate had rules drew the attention of his colleague on Thursday to a statement credited to the President while receiving the leadership of Buhari Support Group, (BSO), led by the current Comptroller General of Customs, Col. Hameed Ali (retd). The President Federal Republic of Nigeria, Muhammadu Buhari had remarked that some Senators have been in the Nass for 10 years without doing anything. This statement was televised by Channels TV and other notable media mediums.

Sen Melaye's position remains that the comment made by the President is disparaging, uncharitable and  unpresidential.

Sen Melaye's stand and position is about defending the integrity of the legislative arm, and to dismiss such uncomplimentary, unproductive and unfriendly remarks about the Senate.

It will interest Onochie that Nigerians are already waiting for Mr President to do the needful, as it is expected that good leaders must lead by good examples.

We viewed Lauretta Onochie's comment as that of a drowning character who needs a psychiatric examination and care.
We challenge her to be bold enough to defend the real issues raised by distinguished Sen Melaye and stop stammering and barking.

We shall not be perplexed if in the event we see the bosses or head of Federal Road Safety Commission, Prison Service, Civil Defence, Navy and Air Force leading Buhari campaign groups in days ahead going by the political activities of the Controller General of Customs.

Our govt is busy creating great men instead of creating great institutions.
While we await the Presidential needful, we reiterate our resolve not be cowed into silence however the draconic reign of the current govt.

Re-Plot To Remove Kogi Speaker Thickens By Hon Victor Ade Omofaiye

I wish to react to the article titled as above, published by an online news blog named "THE LEAKAGES" and dated 28th May, 2018.

I wish to state emphatically that the article was ill-conceived by enemies of the NEW DIRECTION GOVERNMENT with the primary aim of instigating disaffection and mistrust between the Rt. Hon. Speaker, Prince Kolawole, HE Alh Yahaya Bello, Chief of Staff to HE, Dist.Sen. Smart Adeyemi, my humble self, and other members of KSHA. This is not only demonic, it is politics taken too far as such a plot never existed in reality, but probably in the imagination and wishful thinking of the author of the article.

I further wish to state as follows:-

I. That Rt.Hon. Speaker of Kogi State House of Assembly, Prince Kolawole, enjoys the support and confidence of myself and all other members of the KSHA.

II. That he equally enjoys the support, trust and confidence of the Executive Arm and every major political stakeholder in APC Kogi State, Dist.Sen. Smart Adeyemi inclusive.

III. That my 2019 aspiration remains as declared, to represent the good people of Kabba-Bunu/Ijumu at the Federal House of Representatives, that I remain committed to the aspiration, that it remains the moral right of Ijumu to produce the next House of Rep Member by 2019 when Hon Teejay Yusuf would be completing his eight-year (8) representation as the first to enjoy a 2nd Term under an age-long rotational arrangement between the two Local Govts of Ijumu and Kabba-Bunu. That the 2019 House of Rep aspiration of Ijumu is beyond me, that I therefore lack the capacity to trade it off for any position.

IV. That the Senatorial aspiration of my leader, Dist.Sen. Smart Adeyemi involves Seven (7) Local Goverment Areas of Kogi West and therefore has nothing directly or indirectly to do with our zoning arrangement of Kabba-Bunu/Ijumu House of Representatives slot.

V. That my co-aspirants for the 2019 HoR of Kabba-Bunu extraction should consider it a great privilege and gesture from GYB to have our brother, Rt.Hon. Prince Kolawole holding the number three position in Kogi State, he is doing well and deserves all our support to continue to deliver satisfactorily on that assignment. This is what is morally right, rather than attempting to discredit him because of 2019 or 2023, a bird at hand is worth a thousand in the forest.

VI. That I'm not aware of any plot to "force me to abort" my 2019 House of Representatives aspiration as claimed by the author.

VII. That all the members of Kogi State House of Assembly remain united under the leadership of Rt.Hon. Prince Kolawole and all other Principal Officers of the House, this includes myself as the Chief-Whip, there is no threat of impeachment, removal or whatever as wrongly insinuated by the author. G

God bless Kogi State!

Aspirant, HoR 2019, Kabba-Bunu/Ijumu Federal Constituency.

This is to congratulate all Nigerians, Kogites and Ijumites in particular for witnessing yet another beautiful Democracy Day. Its my hope that we shall live to witness many of it kind in years to come. Wishing us God's divine protection in good health and peace of mind.

I have taken a vow with Ijumu electorates that giving me the privilege to represent us the State House of Assembly will change our destiny for good. Ijumu shall be classified amongst constituencies of pride by the special grace of God.

Democracy Day is regarded as the beginning of a new (political) year. Its my prayer that by this time next year I shall be celebrating the beginning of a new thing in the political history of our beloved Ijumu Kingdom.

Endeavour to pray for my success as we journey through yet another rigorous and tasking elective political year.

Finally, I pray that the favour of Allah makes our journey here and hereafter easy, His grace makes our life great, His mercy makes our life exceptional. May Almighty Allah always ease our sojourn now and always.

Happy celebration of Democracy Day.

2019 DEMOCRACY DAY, HOPE ALIVE OR COMPLETELY DEAD?

I joined all well meaning Nigerians, to celebrate the survival of 3 year Democracy day of hunger, confusion, unemployment, insecurity, no or quarter salary, under this clueless, low in thinking APC government that have impoverished Nigerians and taken us many steps backward as once, a united Nation.

A government, in an attempt to truncate the labour of our fallen and living heroes has chosen the choice of  attacking every Democratic institutions in the country.

Its also important to note where we are coming from and how far this unfortunate government has further destabilize and divides us along tribal and religious lines.
There is little or No hope that things will get better before 2019.

I salute Nigerians especially my Kogi brothers and Sisters for their patients, long sufferings and endurance of the pains this vision less APC Government has inflicted on us at all levels of governance.

Their so called change has brought more agony and regrets to Nigerians, especially with the high level of incessant killings across the country, and their calculated attempt to truncate our hard earned Democracy.

I pray God help Us ALL and grant us the enablement to resist every attempt to return us back to military rule.

Democracy must be built through open societies that shared information that move Nations forward, When there is information, there is enlightenment. When there is debate and dialogs there are solutions.

When there is No separation of power, absence of rule of law, No accountability, then, is abuse, corruption, subjugation and indignation will inevitable be prevalent.

Finally, I pray the government of APC will allow our PVC to speak for Us same way it worked for them, so we can all again restore back our lost but desired  peaceful, united and working Nigeria, we must get our PVC and vote out APC and their cruel, inhuman government at all levels. If we desire a Nigeria without discrimination, then we must not discriminate against anyone in the process of building the country of our dream .
If we desire a Democratic Nigeria, then democracy must become a means as well as an end.

Happy Democracy Day my people, as we prepare to change this awkward change come 2019.

I write as a patriotic, concerned, NOT  LAZY NIGERIAN YOUTH and my Name is Tunde Akanmidu a.k.a *ARISE 2019*

It was a gathering of who is who in Kogi East as Igala sons and daughters converge on KSU Auditorium to raise funds for renovation of their unity house in Anyigba.  Among the bigwigs that attended the auspicious occasion was  the Most acceptable candidate in the history of Idah federal constituency electioneering bid, President/CEO vividgroup and founder/president of Good Shepherd Medical Centre Anyigba, the biggest and most equipped ultra modern hospital in the land, Amb. Account For N10 Trillion Stolen By Your Leaders, PDP Tells APC …Says Party Synonymous With Deceit, Failure, Hardship

The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) challenges the Presidency and the All Progressives Congress (APC) to immediately account for the over N10 trillion public fund allegedly stolen by APC leaders and members of the Buhari Presidency cabal.

The APC and Presidency have been playing saint and pointing fingers while their officials are having field day frittering trillions of naira to finance their opulent lifestyles and political interests, even under the watch of the African Union (AU) Anti-Corruption Champion.

The PDP asks the Presidency to address Nigerians on the leaked Memo detailing corrupt oil contracts to the tune of N9 trillion ($25billion dollars) at the Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation (NNPC) and the Ministry of Petroleum Resources, which are under President Muhammadu Buhari’s direct supervision as Minister of Petroleum Resources.

The PDP also challenges the APC and the Presidency to come clear on the widely reported stealing of N1.1 trillion (USD 3.5bn) worth of crude oil by APC interests operating with seven ghost companies.

This is in addition to the looting from the Treasury Single Account (TSA) evidenced in the reported stealing of N10 billion National Health Insurance Scheme (NHIS)’s account in the TSA, as well as revelation of the frittering of fresh N25 billion under questionable “deals”.

Similarly, the PDP demands that the APC and the Presidency address Nigerians on the widely reported stealing of N18 billion Internally Displaced Persons (IDP) intervention fund as well as the source of the N671 million allegedly stolen from the APC account by some of its national officers.

Furthermore, the PDP wants the Presidency and the APC to explain to Nigerians why no serious panel of enquiry has been set up to address the issues of abuse of rights, extra-judicial executions, killings and bloodletting in various parts as catalogued by various international bodies.

The PDP notes that the APC has become synonymous with violence, deceit, hardship, hunger and starvation and can no longer be trusted as a vehicle of national cohesion, economic prosperity and the unity of Nigerians.
