2019 Elections: Ruling party APC Finaly Splits into faction.

Nigeria’s ruling party All Progressive Congress(APC) has finally officially split into a faction.
A new faction headed by president Buhari ally Alhaji Buba Galadima announced the splitting of the party into the Reformed APC.
At a press briefing in Abuja, Alhaji Buba Galadima said Nigerians are tired of the ruling party.
Read press statement below:
PRESS CONFERENCE ADDRESSED BY ALHAJI BUBA GALADIMA, NATIONAL CHAIRMAN, REFORMED - ALL PROGRESSIVES CONGRESS (R-APC) AT SHERATON HOTELS ABUJA ON 4TH JULY, 2018

We are here assembled to address you on the state of our party, the APC, the state of the nation and the future of our experiment in constitutional democracy, in Nigeria.

2. You will recall that in the build up to the 2015 General elections, some political parties and groups came together, and formed a brand new political party, the All Progressives Congress, APC. This merger was based on the strong belief that Nigeria had come of age, but was severely underperforming and unable to meet its potentials for good governance. The Nigerian people entrusted power to the APC based on its promises and potentials.

3. We are sad to report that after more than three years of governance, our hopes have been betrayed, our expectations completely dashed. The APC has run a rudderless, inept and incompetent government that has failed to deliver good governance to the Nigerian people. It has rather imposed dictatorship, impunity, abuse of power, complete abdication of constitutional and statutory responsibilities, infidelity to the rule of law and constitutionalism. It has failed to ensure the security and welfare of our people and elevated nepotism to unacceptable height. The APC has failed to deliver on its key promises to the nation. There is no evidence of any  political will to reverse the decline of our party, while leaders who have created these circumstances continue to behave as if Nigerians owe our party votes as a matter of right.

4. The APC government, has been a monumental disaster, even worse than the government it replaced. The political party that was a vehicle for enthroning the government was rendered powerless by manipulations and complete lack of due process in its operations.

5. The last straw, was the Congresses and Convention of the APC held recently. The Congresses were intensely disputed as it was conducted with impunity, total disregard for due process, disregard for the party Constitution and naked display of power and practices that have no place in a party we all worked the very hard to put in place.

6. There are countless cases in courts all over the country challenging the legality of congresses and even the National Convention itself. It is very likely that the judicial decisions on these cases will result in massive chaos, confusion and uncertainties. The fate of a party in this state with a few months to the elections is best left to the imagination, but it is not a fate we believe our millions of members should be abandoned to.There were parallel congresses in 24 States namely: Abia, Adamawa, Bauchi, Bayelsa, Benue, Borno, Cross River, Delta, Enugu, Imo, Jigawa, Kaduna, Kano, Katsina, Kebbi, Kogi, Kwara, Lagos, Niger, Ondo, Oyo, Rivers, Sokoto and Zamfara.

These congresses in Wards, Local Government Areas and States all over the federation produced different sets of delegates. We therefore had an unfortunate situation where the party has been seriously factionalised and divided in not just 24 States but the 36 States and Abuja FCT.

7. The so-called National Convention of the APC was even worse. The National Convention of the party was ridiculed with constitutional infirmities that were so glaring and obvious that no fair minded person can claim that a legitimate and lawful executive emerged from that process. The Chairman of the organising Committee, Jigawa State Governor, His Excellency, Alhaji Mohammed Badaru Abubakar, declared 18 seats unopposed and uncontested, since only one valid candidate stood at the end of the grossly manipulated nomination exercise for each of the offices. He therefore proceeded to declare them duly elected in flagrant abuse and violence to the Constitution of the APC.

Indeed, Article 20 of the APC Constitution is very clear and explicit. It envisages a situation where if at the close of nomination, only one person is nominated, the Convention must vote “Yes” or “No”, for each candidate before he is declared duly elected. For the avoidance of doubt, let us re-produce the article verbatim:

Article 20 (1) of the APC Constitution states “Unless otherwise provided for: All party posts prescribed or implied by this Constitution shall be filled by democratically conducted elections at the respective National Convention or Congress subject, where possible, to consensus, Provided that where a Candidate has emerged by consensus for an elective position, a vote of “Yes” or “No” by ballot or voice shall be called, to ensure that it was not an imposition which could breed discontent and crisis”.

We all witnessed on live television and at the venue, Eagles Square Abuja, that the Convention Chairman, only put the “Yes” question to all the delegates, using words to the effect: Do you affirm? Do you agree? There was no opportunity whatsoever given to the delegates to say whether they are voting “No” for any candidate as the “No” question was never put to them.

It may well be that it the convention Chairman put the “No” Question, the voice vote for the “Noes”, may have been more. We will never know, since it was never done, contrary to the express provisions of the APC Constitution. It is therefore unquestionably clear that the 18 officers of APC that was “Elected” through this process could not have been duly elected. This constitutional vice infected the offices of:
1. Comrade Adams Oshiomhole   - National Chairman
2. Mai Mala Buni  - National Secretary
3. Alhaji Ibrahim Masari  -  National Welfare Secretary
4. Tunde Bello   -  National Financial Secretary
5. Babatunde Ogala  - National Legal  Adviser
6. Bankole Oluwajana – National Vice Chairman (South West)

13. Nasiru Haladu - Ex-officio (North-West)
14. Rachael Akpabio – Zonal Woman Leader (South South)
15. Misbahu L. Didi – Representative of the physically challenged
and others.

8. Even before these illegal exercises that have alienated millions of members, there has been widespread disenchantment with the manner the party has been run, and the conduct and performance of our governments.      The nPDP, a group that has made a major contribution to the emergence of the APC administration has made strenuous efforts to invite attention to inequities, injustice and poor management  in our party without any success. The nPDP had shown good faith and commitment to the party, but it has been rewarded with indifference and even contempt. It is obvious that the leadership of the APC has decided to shut out members of the APC, as well as other members who have raised genuine grievances and a desire to improve the responsiveness of the APC to the desire of members for a party founded on democratic principles.

9. Under the circumstances, patriotic elements and most of the original founders of the APC have found themselves in the opposing side of this charade. Most of the delegates who bought and paid for forms for the congresses and convention and were elected as delegates have come together to form the authentic APC to be now known as and called REFORMED-APC (R-APC).

The R-APC as constituted have officers in all the wards, 774 Local Governments, and all the 36 States of the Federation including the FCT.

We will in concert with others offer real change to Nigeria. Not fake change. It is clear that our party needs a leadership that will live by its founding ideals. We have therefore decided to legitimately lead those members to work  to rebuild our nation more firmly on genuine democratic principles, to enshrine good governance and restore the faith of Nigerians in the possibility of the existence of a prosperous, secure and peaceful nation

13. We call on all Nigerians, not to despair as a rescue plan is in the works and will be unfolded soon.

INSIDE YAHAYA BELLO MULTI BILLION NAIRA PALACE

A group called Advocates of peace and good governance has revealed the many multimillion exotic cars inside the Multi Billion Naira mansion built last year by the Kogi State government Governor Yahaya Bello

The group asked why kogi state remains unviable and underdeveloped? Why Salaries are not paid and projects were uncompleted?

The group said Kogi State was the most affected state where past and present leaders practice these iniquitous attitudes of ” self needs satisfaction”. It’s said No wonder the state remains unenviable and perpetually under-developed, due to the disposition and diversion of public funds for personal use.

A comprehensive investigations carried out by an anonymous who pleaded for his name to not be mentioned, has revealed some personal properties acquired by the incumbent governor of kogi state, which could be the reason of the stunted growth we are experiencing in the state today.

This means that funds were diverted for personal projects, which exposed the state to continuous financial crisis, left her in the state of discombobulation.

Which is the main reason why salaries are not paid and state projects were uncompleted. I sincerely wish to remain silence but for the fact that these nefarious injustices continue in a lackadaisical manner and somebody draw my attention to the salary issues that refused to die, that continue to live among our people, yet imposes pains and agonies on the lives of our people.

Aggravated my anger to revealed this unhealthy practice by our accidental governor. Today we presents to you numerous fleet of exotic cars and magnificent multi-million Naira mansion acquired by Govt. Bello amidst perpetual hunger and abject poverty in the state.

Now you know why salaries are not paid, the state remains unviable, under-developed and projects were uncompleted.

THE CHOICE AVAILABLE TO THE AUDU/FALEKE POLITICAL FAMILY

THE POLITICAL METAMORPHOSIS OF KOGI STATE 2015 -  2019 :-

THE CHOICE AVAILABLE TO THE AUDU/FALEKE POLITICAL FAMILY

By Hon. Musa Bakare

It is said in my local dialect that a real man do not say "leave my hand" if he is faced with the challenge of engaging  an unrepentant foe in a duel. It was widely circulated around Kogi state of the press conference that was held  been the 28th of June, 2018 in Lokoja, the Kogi State Capital about the involvement Hon. James Abiodun Faleke in our political party, the African Democratic Congress, ADC.

This is a total display of arrant ignorance on the part of the organisers and their sponsors.

They lack knowledge of the calibre and the stuff of brains embedded in the most formidable political structure in Kogi state as at today, the Audu/Faleke political family.

It beats ones imagination the dept of hollowness and emptiness that pervades the thinking of some people who are referred to in this clime as politicians that it pleased God to deposit in this geographical space

When one hear  of the news been peddled around town that the same agents of evil crusades are   planning to submit a petition to the All Progressive Congress (APC) National Working Congress (NWC) and the APC Leader, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu that the man who the World had known for his political astuteness and steadfastness is into some sort of anti party activities of any form in Kogi state.

How could Faleke the man with simply the largest political followership in  Kogi state today, the man that is greatly love, adore and with a tremendous good will across the nooks and crannies of Kogi state, the man who despite not been a Lagosian by birth the very good  Lagos people love and adore be in any form of anti party activity ?

Why won't they ask themselves questions ? They will not because mischief and malice is its own destroyer.

Hon. James Abiodun Faleke, remains a loyal founding member of the All Progressives Congress (APC) and a member of the Federal House of Representative representing the good and loving people of Ikeja Federal Constituency of Lagos state, Nigeria

Before the sudden dead of the best Governor Kogi people have known since the state was created in 1991,Prince Abubakar Audu, the AuduFaleke political family that  Hon. Faleke was second in command till the ill fated 2015 Gubernatorial Election In Kogi State, was and still the most formidable in Kogi state today and indeed one of the best of such in Nigeria. The  result of the Kogi State Gubernatorial election of November 2019 is a huge testimonial to these fact

The whole World and indeed Nigerians are aware of what happened in the aftermath of that election in Kogi State and how the battle to right the monumental wrong was fought up to the apex court of the land.

Soon after the Supreme court proclaimed Yahaya Bello the winner, Hon. James Abiodun Faleke  did not only respect the judgment of the Supreme court but was totally poised at submitting himself for any form of settlement and reconciliation with the new APC government in Kogi state inthe interest of the people of Kogi state and of his party.

Several overtures towards reconciliation by Hon. Faleke were frustrated by the Kogi state Government hugely supported by the former APC chairman, Chief John Oyegun.

The Audu/Faleke political family that laboured for the  election the success medal of which was handed to the Governor was left completely in the cold far away from the structure and made to continue to lick the wounds and pain of their toils

It must be noted that several efforts were made by the APC Leadership at the National level towards reconciling the Audu/Faleke group with Governor Yahaya Bello and the State Government to no avail as all such efforts were frustrated by the Governor himself.

The APC National Working Committee set up two powerful peace committees to reconcile the two factions in Kogi State
It must be noted also  that the Audu/Faleke team approached the  Governor of Jigawa state before the last congresses of the party for a possible  intervention and reconciliation.

Among such other efforts by Hon. James Abiodun Faleke  was his  sending  the state APC leaders to meet with the Governor  for a possible internal resolution within the party in the State, since according to Faleke, in the long run, the state belongs to us all !  Let us all  see the need for a possible reconciliation with the aim of engendering peace, but again the Governor refused.

No one beats a baby and forbids him not to cry ! After over two years of waiting, hoping and failed expectations in a very uncertain political climate for a possible positive reasoning intervention  believing the Governor will somehow come to realise the great gain hidden beneath peaceful coexistence within the party and even among parties, what exactly is the choice left for these very resilient, hard working and astute politicians in the mould of Audu/Faleke group ?

For those who don't indulge themselves in self deceit let me remind them that the name Audu/Faleke has metamorphosed into  a great and mighty brand in the politics of Kogi and indeed Nigeria  and is being used by almost all interest groups in the state or elsewhere to advance their future political ambitions.

Any other group ,groups or even political party laying claim to whatever structure as solid and as vibrant as those who worked themselves very hard into the consciousness of the people of the state like Audu/Faleke that hugely won the Presidential election of 2015 and November 2015 gubernatorial election in Kogi purely on goodwill is simply dancing naked in Lokoja market while no one is beating bata

This group, having weigh all available options in the prevailing circumstances after due and proper consultations especially after the manner the state congresses were received by the party at the national level decided to move emass to another party.
Should any sane person begrudge them ? Yes we are being begrudged.

As soon as they made it public that they are moving to the African Democratic Party (ADC) and with Comerade Isah Daniel ( the Prof ) the workaholic Director General of the Kogi State APC campaign committee in the 2015 National and State elections as  the interim Kogi state chairman the rumour mill ignorantly took to the streets insinuating and alleging that it must be Hon. Faleke thar sponsored him  chairman, mischief makers took to their usual call fabricating lies that Hon. James Abiodun was behind their decision.

How  can a non member of a party sponsor a state chairman for another party ! The dumb only hears themselves

Do they not know, are they not aware or better still could they be pretending they are not aware that Hon.James Abiodun after thorough political soul searching  and due consultations had returned back  to Lagos APC to run his third term election into the Federal House of Representative representing Ikeja Federal Constituency long before the APC congresses and as such cannot  interfere in any form or be in the know of any move by the Audu/Faleke supporters in Kogi State as to what they do next

In their press release, they agreed that Hon Faleke represents Ikeja Federal Constituency in Lagos state but the devil will not let them agree too that he cannot  at the same time be  a member of ADC in Kogi state

One keep wondering how the Dr John of that false and malicious press release got to such an ugly conclusion that Hon Faleke sponsored or imposed people in  ADC in the state ! This is a great  falsehood to whip up unnessary sentiments that should be roundly condemned

That the aggrieved members of APC in Kogi are of a very sound mind, very great men and women who are intelligent enough to decide what they want at all time is to state the obvious.

Ever before he decided return to Lagos, Faleke was preoccupied with the thought that the Audu/Faleke group would be integrated into the Kogi state APC government, a government they all laboured, toiled  and spent their God giving energy time and resources in bringing about. Rather, the APC Government of Kogi state  appointed PDP members into offices and  denied the APC members any form of recognition and instead continued to sponsor  fabricated lies to smooth up their political image

We are on course and contended  in our party the African Democratic  party ( ADC).

LET THE HANDSHAKE   ACROSS ALL FRONTIERS CONTINUES

One can only conclude here by advising  those agents of the State Government to have a rethink and dispense their energy
at working hard to ensure  smooth governance in the state

We are close to reclaiming and redeeming our stolen MANDATE

TO GOD BE THE GLORY

POLITICIANS SHOULD LEAVE INEC ALONE AND CONCENTRATE ON PEOPLE ORIENTED CAMPAIGNS

The attention of the Citizens Centre for Democratic Governance has been drawn to the public statement credited to the PDP, where the National Publicity Secretary of the party alleged, that there is a plot and ongoing arrangement between the APC and Mrs. Amina Zakari of INEC, through the help of two other top INEC officials namely: Mr. Abdulrasaq Agboola and Mr. Paschal Uwakwe to rig the Ekiti gubernatorial electionRecall that Kayode Fayemi has also issued a statement throughBamidele Faparusi the Deputy Director-General (South) of Kayode Fayemi Campaign Organization, accusing Fayose of sharing apartment with Ishaku Abbo, a former INEC big shot working with Egharevba John, Festus AisienIgidiogu Kelechiand Abbo who are currently in active service with INEC to rig the poll.
This accusations and counter-accusations are surely political plots and tactics by both the PDP and the APC to outdo one another, in a quest to win the election. However, we maintain that dragging the electoral umpire into their current showdown is unwise and should be stopped with immediate effect. The PDP has definitely not educated itself enough on how INEC intends to use technology to collate the election results; else itwill not make such frivolous claim of preloading the card reader with false results. Also, we do not think that both the APC and PDP are ignorant of the fact that sensitive materials such as form EC8A is safely kept in the bank and will only be distributed on Election Day. The general public should disregard the claims made by the duo, as all sensitive and non-sensitive materials are secured and has not been compromised in any way.
All political parties involved in the Ekiti election have nothing to fear, as INEC under the purposeful and focused leadership of Prof. Mahmood Yakubu is not, and will never be helpless because he knows his onion and has proven that overtime. Moreover, the way and manner which the election is going to be conducted is not too different from what we have had except for the E-collation. Votes will still be counted manually in polling units and manual collations can still be done by political parties who may want to do so. Again, elections observers exist to note all irregularities and consequently give a feedback which will be contained in a report for all to see.
It is regrettable how our politicians and political parties have resorted to finger pointing and careless manipulation of figures to polish their lies, but we can obviously see the hand writings boldly written on the wall. It is no longer news that political parties usually have moles in the INEC but let it be known that all of such persons will be fished out and made to face the wrath of the law. We call on all members of all political parties involved to maintain decorum and good standard during this period. INEC has been open enough in all the process involved in the Ekiti gubernatorial election. Therefore, politicians should leave INEC alone and concentrate on winning the election through rigorous people oriented campaign.

Faleke, the non vindictive Moses of Kogi Politics

HON.ABIODUN FALEKE
THE NON VINDICTIVE MOSES OF KOGI POLITICS

By Hon. Musa Bakare

Hon. James Abiodun Faleke was a major participant in the foundation of the superstructure that is today called All Progressive Congress APC Federal and Kogi State Government.

Among his very major contributions to the building and nurturing of the APC is the fact that he was the Coordinator of the very successful Buhari Campaign Organization in Lagos state. It is on record and a known fact that in carrying out such huge and tasking assignment, he collected no dime from no one. Rather, Faleke dispensed his entire God giving energy, time and resources to ensure Buhari became the President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria and that APC takes over Kogi state from the over twelf years reign of PDP and the result is grossly a very sound and sweet victory.

Those of us the foot soldiers No for the job on Kogi were abandoned and made to watch from distance while those who were insulting and abusing us while we toiled formed the APC government.

I Hon.Musa Bakare was the State Secretary of the Buhari Support Organization in Kogi State in the run up to the 2019 Nation elections !

No one thanked us neither were we recognized

Faleke, the loyal and dedicated party man was rejected by the party in favour of a Yahaya Bello who worked tirelessly to ensure the party lost the elections in Kogi state soon after loosing the primary election.

The man who was later coronated governor of Kogi engaged himself in every known anti party activities towards frustrating  electoral success against the party only to be handed the victory medal thereby throwing Kogi state and her citizens into a terribly harrowing hardship and pain.

Faleke not been a vindictive politician chooses not to leave his party believing that only time could heal such political wounds as was inflected on his people. Besides, like Jagaban Senator Ahmed Tinubu had pointed out severally, no one will be happy to see the house he was a major part of building destroyed.

The Ungodly fellow who Oyegun and co railroaded into reaping what they never sows we are told are still now shamelessly calling Press conference to continue to churn out ungodly and unholy lies of great proportions against Faleke !

While Faleke's supporters cannot and will not remain in the same party with those who are too arrogant to own up to their foibles and had chosen to go the way of African Democratic Party ( ADC ), anyone who think he or she can stop them from taking back their mandate come 2019 will surely have Heavens to contend with.

Thank you Hon. Faleke for offering Kogi people some good doses of what great, good  and civilised political leadership entails.

We are solidly with you in your wisdom laden decision to return to your politically sophisticated, civilised and advanced base.

We are however going to do whatever is in us within the ambit of the Nigerian law to win all elections to the Senate House of Representatives and House of Assembly in Kogi state come 2019 so we prepare for your triumphant return to take over the reign of leadership in Lugard House in Kogi  State to  emancipate your people out of squalor and torments

God help Kogi people

ADC Appoints Isa Daniel as State Party Chairman

KOGI ADC GETS INTERIM STATE OFFICERS

By Silas Sanusi

In what look like a quest to wrestle power from All progressives Congress APC, African Democratic Congress ADC appoints interim officers to kick start the arrangement in building a strong party that is capable of defeating the ruling party in the next general election_.

The party officers are:

1. Comr. Isa Daniel - State Chairman
2. Dare Olatunde- state secretary
3. Yahaya Abdulkadir- state Treasurer
4. John D. Momoh - member
5. Suleiman Mohammed Lawal -  member
6. Hon Moshood Ali - Member
7. Dr John Odekina - Member
8. Hon Sumaila Kubo - Member
9. Zarkeaus Jonathan - Member
10. Eldr Lanre Essan - Member
11. Hajia Zainab Usman - Member

The National chairman of the party Chief Ralphs Okey Nwosu charged the officers to do their best in propagating the party ideology to ensure the nooks and cranny of the state is saturated by ADC and ultimately chase the current lugard occupant comes 2019.

Reacting to the appointment, the state  chairman Comr Isa Daniel (Prof) promised to work tirelessly with his team to ensure bad side of governance currently being dished out by Bello led administration is brought to an end.

He further noted that, this appointment have set the pace for massive defection into the the party as many are tired with PDP and APC and are willing to channel their strength and support to a credible alternative that can challenge the ruling party which ADC is poised as the only choice because of its democratic ideology.

He concluded by calling on all kogites to join the party if their sole desire of defeating Yahaya Bello's administration that has brought untold hardship to them must be  shown an exit door._

Many party faithful who heard the latest development described Comr Isa Daniel appointment as the state chairman as a square peg in a square hole. That with him, the success of the party in the state can be predicted as his undaunted wealth of political experience will give the party the needed edge in ousting the ruling party.

Faleke, Not a member of ADC

It has come to my notice,  a press conference held yesterday, been the 28th of June, 2018 in Lokoja, the Kogi State Capital about my involvement in a political party, the African Democratic Congress, ADC.
I also have it on authority that the same agents of State government have planned to submit a petition to the APC NWC and copy my Leader and Mentor, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu that I'm into Anti Party Activities in Kogi state.

In view of the above I wish to state as follows:

1. I Hon. James Abiodun Faleke, remains a loyal founding member of the All Progressives Congress, APC and one of the members representing the good people of Ikeja Federal Constituency of Lagos state.

2. That until the demise of Late Prince Abubarka Audu, that I was his running mate during the ill fated 2015 Gubernatorial Election In Kogi State.

3. Nigerians are aware of what happened in Kogi and how the present State Government came to be via the courts.

4.That the press statement made by one Dr John alleging me for sponsoring or imposing a particular individual as the state chairman of ADC in the state is force and malicious. It’s on good authority, that some agents of the state are the sole sponsors of this falsehood to whip up sentiments.

5. The Press release stated rightly,  that I represent Ikeja Federal Constituency and that I'm not a member of ADC. How then can a non member of a party sponsor a state chairman.

6. It’s on record that several efforts by the APC Leadership then to reconcile the Audu/Faleke group with Governor Yahaya Bello, was turned down by the Governor himself.

7. APC NWC set up two powerful committees to reconcile the two factions in Kogi, but unfortunately GYB refused all efforts.

8. It is also on record that the Audu/Faleke team approached Governor of Jigawa before the congress to help intervene, but there was no luck.

9. Apart from sending State APC leaders to GYB, I personally sent messages to him to see the need for reconciliation with the Audu/Faleke group before the congress in the state, but he refused.

10. That I, Hon James Abiodun Faleke, haven’t returned back home to Lagos APC before the APC congress will not ordinarily, interfere in any form or be in the know of any move by the Audu/Faleke supporters in Kogi State.

11. Before my return to Lagos, my plan was to ensure that the Audu/Faleke group were integrated back into a government they all laboured and spent their resources in bringing on board. (but unfortunately the death of our principal left a big vacuum that CANT BE FILLED).

But instead of the State Government to be magnanimous in victory, they left out ALL those who worked for the party and appointed PDP memebers into offices and also refused all efforts at reconciliation.

12. Unfortunately, some of the Audu/Faleke members see my return to Lagos as a major loss for the party in the state, while some think that I have betrayed them.

13. Please note that the aggrieved members of APC in Kogi are very great men and women who are old enough to decide what they want.

14. Unfortunately or otherwise, the name AUDU/FALEKE has become a POLITICAL BRAND in Kogi which is being used by various interest groups in the state to achieve their ambitions.

15. I employ those peddling and sponsoring rumors about my involvement in the internal affairs of another political party to retract such. Those agents of the State Government should have a rethink and use their energy at ensuring  smooth governance in the state that can bring victory for the party.

APDA Set To Take Over Lugard House, Denies Merger Rumours.

In the wake of Political Development in Nigeria and Kogi State in Particular, we wish to state that contrary to the insinuations and rumours making the rounds that APDA will merge with other political parties in the forthcoming elections, we wish to state emphatically that the party was not and will not be in merger talks with any political party in the country.

Abdulmumuni Ibrahim
Kogi State APDA State Chairman

After a meeting held today in the National Secretariat of the party in Abuja, it was resolved:

1. That APDA is not in merger talk or affiliated with any political party.

2. That the party is expecting more persons and political groups. The party assures the general public that APDA is a party that has come to stay and will never sold out as currently perceived by enemies of the party.

3. That In view of the above, the party is currently engaging electorates at different levels of discussion and we can assure you that APDA has come to stay and will not merge with any party both at the State and the Federal level.

4. That the party is consolidating its spread in her continuous campaign and propagating its manifesto to the people.

5. That the party have more than enough aspirants for various political offices and any of the aspirants have the pedigree and competence to win elections come 2019.

6. That APDA is ready to run all its elections without compromise or contempt of any sort.

7.  That the party is overwhelmed with the increase in the numbers of new entrants to the party and currently evaluating intending decampees approaching the party.

8. That the party on daily basis receives more aspirants who have indicated interest to contest in the party primaries ahead of next year’s general elections.

9.  That APDA currently enjoys the support of electorates who are already tired of APC led State Government, PDP or any other political party in the State.

10.  That the party is currently busy planing the inauguration of the State Eastern Zonal Executives which is slated for early July and will be consequently followed by the western and central zones respectively.

11.  Finally, that APDA belongs to All of Us and not the sole property of any individual, we therefore urge all to join hands to move the party forward as we are set to take over Lugard house come 2019.

God bless Kogi State and God Bless Nigeria.

Signed:
Abdulmumuni Ibrahim,
Kogi State APDA Chairman.
