Yagba Free WAEC Project: Elder Leke Abejide Begins Verification Of Candidates In Public Schools

In fulfillment of Elder Leke Abejide’s campaign promise to deliver quality education in Yagba Federal Constituency by ensuring payment of WAEC fees of all Yagba Secondary School Students, the foundation has commence verification of candidates in public secondary school across Yagba land.

The Leke Abejide Foundation Chairman announced the commencement of the verification exercise and assure that all secondary schools will be carried along.

The Chairman said, “As part of Elder Leke Abejide's desire to continue to invest in human development in his federal Constituency, the Leke Abejide foundation screening Committee on payment of WAEC 2018 registration fees will commence verification of candidates in public secondary schools as from today Wednesday 26th September 2018.

The foundation enjoin all secondary school principals to give maximum cooperation to the committee to achieve this laudable progressive program.

The statement further said It is a new down for our teaming youths whose tomorrow should be our great concern .

Remember, Education is the greatest asset we can leave behind for our up coming generation.

As at the moment the foundation has concluded the verification and capturing of WAEC Candidtaes of Community High School Takete-Isao. 

The project will surely be a relief to all parents in Yagba Land mostly those that can not afford to pay the exorbitant WAEC fee. 

Elder Leke Abejide’s had said during his official declaration in Isanlu that, no students in Yagba land will have to pay for WAEC fees throughout the four years term he will be in office if elected into the Yagba House Of Representatives.

It is no more news that the aspiration of Omoluabi Bode Adeyemi enjoys the support and endorsement of the youths, traditional institution and vast number of the people.

Kogi West 2019: Barrister Justina Abanida Joins Senate Race, picks ADC Nomination and Expression of Interest forms.

Ahead of 2019 general elections, Barrister Justina Abanida has declared her intention to join the Kogi West Senatorial race and has immediately purchased the nomination and expression of interest form of the African Democratic Congress(ADC) yesterday.

She confirmed to THE LEAKAGES her readiness to contest the Senatorial election with hopes of liberating Kogi West from the current pitiable condition they have been subjected to by the ruling party.

Barrister Justina disclosed to one of our correspondent yesterday at the ADC National Secretariat that she’s contesting because the essence of good governance has been abandoned by other political parties.

“Look at Kabba-Egbe road, this is a major federal road that passes through Kogi West Senatorial district linking us economically with Kwara, Osun and Niger State.

Its in a deplorable condition, because of the failure to fix this road our people are impoverish, economic activities such hotels, tourism are not patronage that can improve the financial buoyancy of our people that lives around there.

Barrister Justina Abanida, the National Deputy Legal Adviser of the Party ADC before picking her nomination forms said ADC has come to stay in Nigeria because it’s a model for discipline good governance. She is ready to champion the party’s manifestos and constitution depicting good governance and social political-economic emancipation to bear in Kogi West Senatorial District come 2019 Elections.

She therefore called for support from all well meaning Kogi Westerners to embrace ADC and support her candidature in the coming days.

2019:We will welcome more defectors from APC, PDP, Others –Kogi ADC

Ahead of all party primary election the Kogi State chapter of African Democratic Congress(ADC) has reiterated the party readiness to welcome more defectors from the People’s Democratic Party(PDP), All Progressives Congress (APC) and all other political parties in the country.

Mr. Mohammed  Bashir Ibrahim, the State publicity secretary said the party had always believed that the ADC was the only true formidable party in Nigeria that could accommodate the interests of all Nigerians.

He described ADC as the party for the people, saying the emergence of the party in the state especially now that the state urgently crave for good governance is sacrosanct. 

Bashir said “The party leadership is excited by the defection of some politicians from the other party to the ADC. Many of them are simply returning home because they want a platform where the masses interest will be protected and where fairness, justice and good governance will be assured”

“The party is simply saying that more people who have the interest of the poor masses at heart should defect to the party because ADC is the only true national party that can accommodate the interests of all Nigerians.

He also said the party as the only viable alternative political platform in Kogi is ready to take over all elective position and also dislodge the current occupant of Lugard house come 2019. 

What Leke Abejide Said After Storming ADC With Mammoth Crowd To Submit His Nomination Forms

Leading Aspirant for Yagba House of Representatives race, Elder Leke Abejide has submitted nomination forms for candidacy race of one of the main opposition party African Democratic Congress, ADC yesterday. 

Leke Abejide wrote on Twitter that he had submitted the House of  Representative nomination and expression of interest forms to the African Democratic Congress(ADC) at the Abuja headquarters of the party.

He said “It is time to bring the needed development and progress to Yagba Federal Constituency. 

As we march forward, join me to change poverty to prosperity, failure to success and stagnation to progress.

Elder Leke Abejide who stormed the party National secretariat with mammoth crowd of supporters from Mopa/Muro, Yagba East and Yagba West Local Government Area of the Federal Constituency was received by the National Secretary of the party, , Alhaji Saheed Aba Abdulahi. 

The National Secretary welcome the Mommoth crowd and assure them of the party full support in the coming 2019 Elections. He urge them to continue to give necessary support to Elder Leke whom he believes has the capacity to turn the fortune of the Federal Constituency around.

Elder Leke Abejide while addressing the press appreciated the National Secretary for the warm reception him and his people received from the party. 

Crowd of supporters came in buses and cars all the way from the three local government areas of Yagba Federal constituency of Kogi State to witness the submission of his nomination forms.

Elder Leke said he left the party APC, went ahead to Yagba Federal Constituency and inaugurated ADC along with all his supporters.

“When we inaugurated ADC in Yagba land, the people generally accepted us and if you go to our Federal Constituency today, you will think the party has existed for more than 10years”

He said the people have tested APC and PDP but they all failed. 

“We thought when APC came they will change for better or even for the best but they are now the worst party ever in Kogi State”

“Our people have been pauperized, our people have become professional beggars, the workers are working as if they are not working. People are dying daily of minor illness. People who have work for over 35years has suddenly become ghost workers”

“That’s why we have come to seek credible alternative in ADC and that more people are still coming to join us here”

He further said he promised in his manifesto that no student will have to pay WAEC fees throughout his term in House of Representatives, the youth will be gainfully employed and the women will be comfortable as they are more closer to his heart, the party will take over Kogi State and Nigeria at last, though it may tarry but surely it will happen, he said. 

He concluded by handing over the nomination forms to the National Secretary.

Jubilation in ADC Secretariat as Ipinmisho, JJ Orungun and Aiyenale picks and submit nomination forms.

Members of ADC in Ijumu and Kabba/Bunu Local Government Areas of Kogi State erupted in jubilation Wednesday as Alhaji Shuaib Ipinmisho picks Ijumu House of Assembly nomination and expression of interest forms alongside a renowned Doctor of Kogi State University, Dr. JJ Orungun who also obtain the nomination forms to contest the Kabba/Bunu/Ijumu House of Representative under the platform of African Democratic Congress(ADC).

Ipinmisho and Alfred Aiyenale, the consensus aspirants for Ijumu and Kabba/Bunu House of Assembly respectively and Dr. JJ Orungun, the people friendly aspirant for Kabba/Bunu/Ijumu House of Representatives, along with several other ADC members and supporters stormed the State Secretariat of the party in Lokoja together to purchase and submit their nomination and expression of interest forms. 

However, the unity of purpose demonstrated by the three aspirants sparked wild jubilation across Ijumu and Kabba/Bunu Local Government Areas, as thousands of supporters defied all obstacles to celebrate what they described as a “welcome development”

One of the major party stakeholders, Mr. Segun Adeyemi said: “I have been waiting for this day. Today I am the happiest person because we have been liberated from political slavery in our local governments areas. He said the three aspirants who came together to purchase and submit their forms will bring about the needed development to the people.

“This is true democracy, democracy is to allow people benefits from the scarce resources God has endowed us with. He urge the people to vote ADC come 2019 for total liberation.

Receiving the aspirants at the party secretariat is the State Organizing Secretary, Hon. Yahaya Adesayo Ismail.

He welcome the mammoth crowd and assure them of level playing ground for all aspirants in line with electoral laws. He urge the supporters to go back home and preach the gospel of ADC to the people. 

According to him, the ruling APC has failed to fulfill its campaign promises, adding that: “Look at how Kogi is being governed. Non payment of salaries is now the APC trademark. I’m optimistic that ADC would get to power in 2019 to revamp this ailing economy and better the life of Kogites.

In his reaction, Alhaji Ipinmisho thanked the party officials for the opportunity to serve ljumu people. 

“I am overwhelmed by the mammoth crowd here today all in solidarity to rescue Ijumu local government from misrepresentation occasioned by greed and selfishness. 

“I am here today with my brothers, Prof. JJ Orungun and Chief Alfred Jimoh Aiyenale to purchase and submit our nomination and expression of interest forms”

The crowd here today is a testimony of the quality and competence of all aspirants present here today, he said.

Chief Alfred Jimoh Aiyenale while addressing the crowd said ADC has come to Kogi State to liberate the people. He promised to bring effective representation to Kabba/Bunu if giving the opportunity.

The supporters who came in different campaign T-shirts and caps sang victory songs, danced and had good times at the party secretariat. 

Ikeja 2019: Alleged Sponsored Protest Against Faleke, Handwork of Enemies-Media Aide

We wish to categorically state that the alleged sponsored protest against the re-election bid of His Excellency, Honorable James Abiodun Faleke as currently being reported by several online media platforms is borne out of selfish agenda, sheer wickedness and did not in anyway represent the position of APC members or constituents of Ikeja Federal Constituency.

Those who sponsored the protest are enemies of progress and should totally be  ignored, disregarded and condemned. 

We have noticed that out of their selfish interest, these enemies would do anything possible in order to stop the ongoing progress of the party APC in Ikeja Federal Constituency.

Honorable James Abiodun Faleke remain the best member to represent Ikeja Federal Constituency since Nigeria return to democracy in 1999.

Among those who have represented the Federal constituency from 1999 till date, no one has effectively represented the Constituency like Honorable Faleke.

He represented Ikeja well, he relate and operate an open door policy with members of his constituents. He is very active and has made meaningful contributions on the floor of the house. He took the burden of members of the constituency as his burden. He is a complete party faithful to a fault, even beyond his constituency.

He recently empowered Constituents across Ikeja, Ojodu, and Onigbongbo with various empowerment items ranging from cars to various other items. 

Today if the same Hon. Faleke is being endorsed across all wards in Ikeja, then the people must have found something special in him.

After selflessly serving as Executive Secretary by appointment and thereafter got elected as two term Local Government Chairman and Member House of Representatives and now his people are still clamouring for his return for the third term, it’s glaring the name Faleke had been tested and trusted.

Secondly, the protesters who out of ignorance claim that he is from Kogi and should therefore return to Kogi State. This claim is not in tune with the present day political reality.

Lagos today have accommodated people from other states and tribes and have also giving them opportunity to serve her people in one capacity or another.

It’s no more news that a current serving LCDA Chairman in Lagos originated from the Ebira extraction of Kogi State. In a working democratic setting, ability to represent and deliver dividends of Democracy to the people has nothing to do with state of origin of the representative.

The Igbo's have won elections to represent Lagosians, therefore such argument is parochial and sentimental and should be disregard.

Fortunately, the national leader of APC Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu is a man who do not judge people based on their place of origin, tribe and color. Asiwaju solely believes in quality and competence and that is the reason Lagos state have become the most developed and enviable state among all other states in the country.

Finally, In as much Honorable Faleke harbors no grudge against  Mrs. Toke Benson, we urge her to make the unity and progress of the party a priority, conduct herself, her hired protesters in a more democratic manner and allowed members of the party determine who will represent them at the coming primaries instead of resorting to cheap blackmails and propaganda.

Ijumu 2019: ADC Stakeholders Endorsed Shuaib Ipinmisho As House of Assembly Candidate

The Ijumu chapter of African Democratic Congress(ADC) today endorsed Alhaji Shuaib Ipinmisho from Ogidi as the party’s house of Assembly candidate for the 2019 elections.

Shuaib Ipinmisho was unanimously endorsed by ADC stakeholders in Ijumu LGA during a meeting held in Lokoja at the office of Honorable Yori Afolabi, a former House of assembly member from the Local Government. 

Speaking at the meeting, chairman of the stakeholders committee, Honorable Funsho Olumoko said party leaders unanimously endorsed Shuaib Ipinmisho as candidate of the Party for the 2019 elections based on various reasons. 

He said the decision was taken after diligent appraisal of all the aspirants running under the party.

Criteria considered and which informed the decision include educational and age qualifications, tax clearance certificate, political experience and general acceptability by the people.

Honorable Olumoko emphasized that the endorsement of Shuaib was in line with democratic principles of fairness and justice to all political wards in Ijumu Oke axis and expect all party faithfuls to abide by it for the progress of the party.

After several appeal from the stakeholders, a co-aspirant Honorable Femi Ibileke willingly step down from the contest for Shuaib Ipinmisho in the interest of the party.

“For the progress and interest of the party, I hereby wish to withdraw from the Ijumu House of Assembly contest in total support of my brother Alhaji Shuaib Ipinmisho” he said.

The Chairman of the committee after the meeting urge all party members to work with unity of purpose in order to ensure the party victory at all levels in the forthcoming election. 

He further directed all ADC wards chairmen, Local Government Chairman, supporters and members of the party to accompany Alhaji Shuaib Ipinmisho to the State party Secretariat tomorrow for the purchase of his nomination and expression of interest forms

Honorable Olumoko appealed to stakeholders and other aspirants to adhere to the agreement and work towards ensuring ADC’s victory in the coming 2019 House of Assembly election.
