WORLD DIABETES DAY 2018: ELDER LEKE ABEJIDE CALLS ON CONSTITUENTS TO CREATE MORE AWARENESS.
Diabetes Is One Of The Worst Health Problems That Affects Most Family And Kill Them Very Fast
Every 14th of November is always a special day as it was denoted to create awareness about a disease that has proven to be one of the worst killer in the world and our immediate environment as it affect most family.
As we are planning to reposition our dear Yagba Federal Constituency through proper representation, it is imperative to express our concerns about the health status of our constituents most especially those who have been affected by diabetes or prone to be affected by the disease by creating the necessary awareness on how to discover, prevent or manage it.
Diabetes as a whole is a disease where the blood sugar level tends to be high because the body insufficiently produce insulin (Type 1) or because the body cells are not responding to the insulin produced (Type 2)
The type 2 is the most common and factors like obesity, age, diet, family history, alcoholism, lack of physical activities can make someone to be affected by diabetes.
Warning signs of diabetes include lacking of energy, drinking a lot liquid substances, wetting the bed, urinating a lot, Weight loss, constant sweating and un healing wounds.
However, it can be prevented by avoiding the risk factors, looking out for the warning signs and living in an environment that support healthy lifestyles.
The major treatment requires daily monitoring, education, healthy lifestyles, drugs and visiting your health care provider regularly.
I urge us all to always look out for our neighbors as a YAGBA FAMILY, and help one another in the preventing, educating and management of this deadly disease.
*Elder Leke Abejide ADC Candidate For Yagba Federal Constituency Cares For You*

2019: Can Elder Leke Abejide Succeed Karimi?
The political cloud is gathering and getting thicker everyday ahead of the general elections in 2019. And from every discernible indication, a heavy political downpour is in the offing.
And an interesting aspect of it all is that it is not just the familiar political names that are eyeing the Yagba Federal Constituency Seat in 2019, there a few unusual characters that are adding up to the mix. I will leave that for another day when we shall exhume the real characters behind this names.
That said, as it were, the coming elections would arrive with unusual attention-gripping dramas and intrigues. Along with this, it is hoped that there will also be greater ideas and commitments to addressing the problems that are bedeviling the Yagba people by the office seekers.
Elder Leke Abejide, the topmost seeker of the office over the years have intensify effort in addressing the problems bedeviling the Yagba people and thus best to succeed the incumbent among all other seekers of the legislative office.
My interest is the Yagba election in Kogi State, North-Central, Nigeria, and a Candidate of African Democratic Congress(ADC), Elder Leke Abejide, whose name has been featuring in virtually all the political analyses as regards the Yagba race in 2019 and who has so much invested in the development of his people even when he has not occupied any elective position before.
Note that by 2019 the current member representing Yagba at the green chamber Honorable Sunday Karimi, would have completed his two terms in office. At that conjuncture the seat is open to anyone to fight for without the direct threat or intimidation from an incumbent which has always been a major obstacle to the aspirations of many contestants.
It is therefore on the basis of Leke Abejide selflessness to Yagba land, I submit that Leke Abejide is not yards away from attaining his ambition as rightfully thought by the old and young who are still living and self-evident to Leke Abejide unprecedented performance in community and human development projects across the three Local government of Yagba land.
Fascinatingly, Leke Abejide himself is not unaware of what lies ahead hence he has commenced his canvassing and consultations early enough. And commendably, he has been doing well and has find his ways to the heart of the people and they are all ready to vote him come 2019.

More talents discovered as Sunday Adeleye holds 3rd edition of S.O Adeleye Foundation 10km race
By Gideon Ayodele
The 3rd edition of the annual Sunday Adeleye Foundation 10Km race came with surprises as more talented youth were discovered.
The championship sponsored by the Nigerian Ex-International and the Technical Director, Atheletics Federation of Nigeria, Hon. Sunday Adeleye recorded great success as athletes turned out in their numbers and return an impressive time in the 10km distance race.
Adeleye stated that the process of excelling in sports requires and inculcates in the child the attributes of discipline, friendship, fair play, good conduct, high morals, abstinence from bad habits, leadership, patriotism, determination, focus, responsibility, team work and the spirit to accept failure only as a stepping stone to bigger success.
These he said are essential life tools that the uninitiated often pay for in adulthood and the championship in the last 3 years have been able to achieved.
The quartermiller turned politician confirmed his committment to developing the potentials of the state’s sports men and women as part of efforts to rebuild sports in the state and in the country at large.
Adeleye however lamented the attitude of our governments at various levels towards sport development especially at the grassroots. Though he affirmed that the government alone can not do everything but could do the little they can. urge private individuals and organisational bodies to collaborate with the government, such development and collaboration he said would go a long way to encourage talented youths and enable them excel in national and international events.
“There are talented youths in kogi state. These talents can be groomed and promoted to the highest level in areas of sports and we are committed to achieving this. Very soon Nigeria will depend on kogi state for their athletes for national and international championships" he said.
Cash donations where showered on the winners, ranging from 50,000 to 10,000 to winners from 1st position to the 5th position in both the male and female categories.
Also at the championship is Hon Oyeyemi Otitoju, the SDP candidate for the Kabba-Bunu/Ijumu federal constituency in the next national election. He commended the sponsor, promise to support him in subsequent championships.

N13.5b Paris Club Refund: Kogi Appointees Paid Three months Owed Salary, Workers and Pensioners hope dashed.
Despite raising hopes of workers and pensioners in the state over payment of their salaries and pension, Kogi State government within the week only paid three months to political appointees out of months owed them and has deliberately abandoned workers and pensioners in the state.
The receipt of N13.5billion Paris Club refund paid into Kogi State government account and the N4.2b statutory monthly allocation received weeks back raised hope of workers and pensioners in the state but all hopes were dashed when only the appointees were paid.
Based on agreement with the federal government 70% of the refunds is meant to pay workers and pensioners their emoluments but up till the moment the government has shown no readiness in making both the table or account payment of its workers salaries.
Aside the recent windfall, the state government got N4.2billion barely a week before the windfall arrived but could still not pay workers and pensioners.
Obviously Kogi State Government only paid his political appointees three months salary with the wind fall received and had refused to pay workers.
In a meeting with the appointees, the Governor was said have boasted that he doesn't have fears over the 2019/2020 election, that its won already and equally urge all appointees to be committed to the party and be appreciative for the three months paid.
The government have used the wind fall of N13.5b to pay three months to only political appointees and made had made a U-turn on the initial promise to pay four months to civil servants.

Omoluwabi Olabode Adeyemi (OBA): The choice for Kogi West 2019... Adebola Femi
Over time the enduring image of this great young man as an Emancipator in which has catapulted him to a level he is today is owing to his commitment to reposition back his people on track in recent time.
His name has been associated to various people oriented programmes via his talk show on major national radio and television programmes, articles on national dailies in his efforts for an egalitarian society.
With all this exposure ingrained in his stream of consciousness, it's easy to see why his high level of competence and capability to lead Kogi West people can not be compared to those we have given our mandate in time past.
Curiously, with everything that has been written about (OBA), little is known about his extraordinary leadership prowess. He is patient, persistent, consistent, and Persuasive rather than been dictatorial or arrogant in all his struggle for a just society.
What gave credence to this young man of valour are the qualities embedded in him such as; honesty and integrity, empathy for the common man, and his devotion to the rights of individual were product of his upbringing.
Omoluwabi Olabode Adeyemi combined an extraordinary wit to become an effective communicator which basically is all that is needed to lobby for the dividend of democracy in any ideal society..
A vote for Omoluabi Olabode Adeyemi is a vote for progress.

Fundamentally, Elder Leke Is Most Qualified To Represent Yagba Federal Constituency.
I wish to equivocally state that Elder Leke is the most qualified as a Yagba indigene to represent Yagba at the green chamber come 2019 . I said this with all sense of sincerity because when you add this to his wide experience in business and understanding of the positive impact good governance will have in the development of Yagba land, I would deem it a crime against the good people of Yagba land for him not to present himself for service to his people.
I want to challenge the existing primordial system of recruitment of political offices based on ethnic, religious, federal character, zoning, catchment area and other atavistic considerations instead of ability and merit. If or when Elder Leke succeed, it will be a turning point for our coming generations as we would have established merit and ability as the vital ingredient for achieving political success.
Another reason why Elder Leke is contesting the House of Representative election is because of his sincere view that Yagba land has not achieved its full potentials looking at the resources made available for various constituency projects.
Hence Elder Leke is presenting himself to his people for service because he knows what it means to create jobs as this has been his major pre-occupation even now that he is not in any elective position.
Through good governance, transparency and a strong anti-corruption orientation, Elder Leke will create the enabling environment for the private sector to drive to invest in Yagba. Elder Leke is set to create a government enabled, private sector driven economy for Yagba people.
In Yagba, Elder Leke has been providing for people across all boards and he will continue to do more even after elected through effective legislation. Elder Leke will ensure those who are unable to work and earn a living due to no fault of theirs will be to enact a legislation to make it possible for our governments now and in future to pay Social Security Benefit.
Elder Leke will ensure the Social Security Benefit includes working vigorously to create jobs and pursue a zero percent unemployment strategy and create the necessary conditions for the private sector to create jobs for our people as well.
Elder Leke will use his experience in business to develop Yagba land.
With the constituency resources and his rich experience in business, he will turn Yagba land into an Investors’ haven through a zero tolerance for corruption and massive infrastructural development in for example, building of well equipped skill acquisition centers across the three Local governments, construction of good roads across major towns and villages, unprecedented improvement in electricity, security, human capital development, etc.
Elder Leke will expose our raw materials and agricultural products in a way that will attract the right investors to set up processing and manufacturing industries in Yagba land.
All these steps will create the enabling environment for industries to thrive in Yagba and thus create job opportunities for our teaming youth population.
It’s no more news that Elder Leke just recently approved over N40m for the payment of WAEC fees for 1,397 Students across the three Local government Areas in Yagba land. This Elder Leke promised will continue after being elected. Parents and guardians can now have a sigh of relief over the payment of exorbitant WAEC fee of their children or wards.
This Free WAEC initiative will sure boost the educational standard in Yagba land.
Electorates in Yagba have a better candidate in ADC which Elder Leke Abejide.
Elder will also encourage the production of goods and services by making funds accessible to medium and small scale enterprises.
The blueprint is to therefore, set up a Business Development Bureau to provide advisory, financial, logistic and business support to ailing businesses.
The Bureau will also help package the businesses to access local and international credit facilities and expertise.
Elder Leke is the best person for the job. He will bring about the best possible change, he is a person with innovation to implement the projects that will greatly and massively improve the lives and living standards of the Yagba people.
A man with the right education, be it from the university, secondary school, experience from travels round the world, experience from business, pedigree, wealth, track record of wealth creation, private sector employment creation, innovative background, entrepreneurship and ability to ensure that the needs of the people are met and that development is a sure thing.

EDWARD ONOJA DON'T BE TOO SELF-ASSURED, KOGITES ARE BITTERED.
By Itodo Dennis
Advocate of peace and good governance
Politics is a dirty game that comes with enormous surprises. Most often, it comes with political shock and throw the unprepared victim into the unbalanced circumstances.
This is going to be the case in kogi state, when Hon. Edward Onoja believed that they hold the power and have all the resources to influence our people, then the unbeatable shock becomes inevitable.
When I see Onoja going from one community to another organising a derisive and factitious decampees ceremony, I laughed stridently on his obnoxious political strategy.
It's apparent that if you failed to do the right thing, you will definitely face the consequences and experience a negative result at the polling units.
Desperation and self-deception are evil companion that will prove him wrong in 2020.
Let me make it categorically clear here that, Igalas are not fools, Ebira are not fools and also our Okun brothers are not fools. Our state is in dire need of help and no any strategy can change the mind of our people.
The government of Bello wasted more energy on frivolity than reality. They failed to identify the problems, hence, they became adamant to profess solutions.
Their hearts becomes a rock of impenetrable hardness, an embodiment of impregnable hardness. Nothing ever penetrate their minds, even the general out cry of the entire people of the state. This could best be described as a "stone heart".
I'm rightly in Kogi state, from Okene through Ajeokuta to Lokoja, then to Anyigba through Ankpa to Okpo down to my home town Ogugu in Olamaboro local government area, My findings kept me speechless, sick and cry.
Sincerely speaking our people are bittered and they are all wearing a dissatisfactory faces. They are anxious of voting Bello out in 2019/2020.
The worst was that Local government were starved of funds, money meant for local government operations were diverted and used in the wrong direction. I will speak on this extensively later.
No any man with a modicum of common sense will support a government that is self-centered and full of excessivism, frivolity, lies and deceits. Our people are tired and decided to part away from a government beclouded with darkness and failures.
I'm speaking without fear of ambiguity that neither Bello's supporters nor opponents could be certain of his defeat in 2020.
This government is a great disappointment to the entire people of kogi state and our people are ready to shock our fake leaders in power.
Even with their overzealous attempts to impress our people with fake projects, their abysmal results end up annoying them.
Don't be DECEIVED our STATE need HELP
APC national vice chairman sacked from party
The national vice chairman of the ruling All Progressives Congress, Inuwa Abdulkadir, has been sacked from the party for alleged anti-party activities.
Mr Abdulkadir, who is a close friend of the Governor Aminu Tambuwal, has fallen out of favour with state party leader, Aliyu Wammako
Mr Abdulkadir was sacked for various anti-party activities such as holding parallel gatherings, disrespect to party leadership and neglecting the party.
He said the expulsion followed due process as he was given chance to defend himself but refused appear or send a representative.
Tension, as kidnappers take over Kogi Obajana road.
Residents of Kogi State, especially motorists and travellers that ply Obajana/Oshokoshoko routes, are apprehensive over the recent activities of kidnappers around the area. Regularly, motorists and their passengers are abducted and taken hostage, in a thick forest. Huge sums of money are paid as ransom. In many cases, victims are killed by the abductors after collecting huge ransoms.
Last week, precisely on Friday, a young man from Kabba and his wife were hijacked and kidnapped by bandits along the Obajana road.
Hours after the incident, some individuals were also said to have also escaped being abducted along the same route the next day. This occurred less than 24hours after the earlier one.
What baffles motorists and concerned citizens, is the quick progression at which the incidents occurred despite heavy presence of both police and army checkpoints along the stretch of Obajana, to the boundary of Kabba.
The Leakages checks show that, combined, there are more than enough police and army checkpoints on the stretch of road.
