No fewer than 300,000 people have benefited from a two-day free medical outreach organised by the African Democratic Congress(ADC) candidate, Elder Leke Abejide for people in Yagba Federal Constituency of Kogi State.
The mission organized and supervised by Leke Abejide Foundation, DG of the foundation, High chief Shola Adebola Samuel Aka Gadafi disclosed that 300,000 women and infants have been treated across the three Local government in Yagba land.
According to him, the programme was a “huge success’’ in spite of the monumental crowd.
The sponsor of the programme, Leke Abejide who is running for Yagba House of Representative Election under ADC platform, had said that the two-day free medical outreach was targeted at 300,000 persons in the three local government areas.
Leke said the medical treatment to his constituency was the most effective way of reaching out to the people as part of the dividends of democracy.
He added that the health of the people was his priority.
All towns, villages and hamlets including TIV's and Bassa communities in Yagba federal constituency benefitted from the free medication, primary school students, aged women and pregnant women were major beneficiaries of the medical scheme.
