Lokoja the capital of Kogi state was as wield predicted agog early hours of today as the next Governor of Kogi state, Admiral Usman Jibrin the Oggah Attah of Igala Kingdom pays visit to the ancient city to interface with his brothers/sisters and friends as well as APC delegates, party stalwarts and supporters ahead of the 29th August party primary election.
The meeting held at Kewon Hotel Lokoja amidst very tight security is in the last legs of Admiral Jibrin's statewide tour ahead of the November 16th 2019 gubernatorial election in the state.
The Local Government Rescue Mission coordinator, Abubakar Mayaki, popularly known as "Let them say" informed Admiral Jibrin that eighty percent of the APC party Executive committee members in Lokoja Local Government Area are solidly behind and will vote for Admiral Usman Jibrin at the party primary election
Welcoming Admiral Jibrin Alhaji Kasim Mabo, Shettima of Lokoja and also the deputy Director General of the campaign organization informed Admiral Jibrin and his entourage that Lokoja people are extremely happy to receive him and his entourage.
He said efforts were made by the state government and its agents to dissuade, intimidate and discourage the delegates not to come out to meet Usman Jibrin without result.
He enjoined the delegates not to be afraid to express themselves and not to betray their consciences by voting for the oppressor of the people of Kogi at the party primary election
Admiral Usman Jibrin in his response promised to pay full salaries to Kogi workers. He will offer effective and productive administration to the people of Kogi state.
He said it is highly embarrassing to say Lokoja the way it is at the moment is a state capital. He promised to transform Lokoja to a state capital we all can be proud of and comparable to other state capitals in Nigeria.
He had come out to contest, so that we can do the needful because enough is indeed enough for Yahaya and his friends to vacate Lugard house.
Promised to create jobs for Kogi state youth so that they can express themselves productively in every area of their calling.
He informed them not be afraid of insecurity but the must be law abiding at all times and on every occasion.
