Faleke Praises Lagos Govt for Swiftness on Coronavirus.

...appeals to Lagosians and Nigerians to adhere to Govt. Preventive measures and advice.

The Chairman House of Representatives Committee on Finance and member representating Ikeja Federal Constituency, Rt. Hon. James Abiodun Faleke has commended the Lagos State government on measures taken to contain the spread of coronavirus, also known as COVID-19 in the State..

Faleke recognised the government’s effort in a statement on Sunday. He thanked the Lagos management of the Covid-19 for its efforts since the index case of the virus was first reported in the state.

The statement reads, "On behalf of our great people of Ikeja Federal Constituency, the Centre of Excellence and Seat of Lagos state Government, I use this opportunity to thank the Government of Lagos State ably led by His Excellency Babajide Sanwo Olu for a job well done.

I appreciate the management of the Covid-19 at this particular time in our history. That the first index case that came in through MURITALA International Airport in the Ikeja Federal Constituency was managed and successfully discharged without any infection from that same source is a welcome development.

That the new cases and all new imports via our airports that are being managed is also acknowledged. We also appreciate the Federal Government for all the interventions and expecially the closure of the International Airports.

That while advanced or developed countries are loosing citizens, Lagos and Nigeria has managed the challenges even in the face of lack of adequate Infrastructure and enough Personnel.

To all our people in Ikeja and Lagos, Please obey the instructions of Government, stay at home, suspend social gathering, maintain clean hygiene, avoid crowded areas, if you have to pray, pray within your house as our good God is every where and at all the time.
God bless the people and Government of Lagos in Particular and Federal Government in General"

Rt. Hon James Abiodun Faleke
Chairman, Finance Committee
House of Representatives
