Engr. Folorunsho Olafemi, through Folorunsho Olafemi Foundation (FOF) and Friends has empowered not less than 12 Youths in Yagba Federal Constituency (YFC).
This was made known in the Grand Finale of the empowerment programme, tagged: Yagba Opportunities Unlimited (YOUPreneur) Challenge which held in Mopa City Hall, Mopa, Mopamuro Local Government.
Engr. Olafemi in his welcome speech described the programme as one that will provide the participants and beneficiaries opportunities to interface with different experts and professionals in their respective chosen businesses for mentorship.
The grand finale featured the participants on defense on how they will utilized the grants when given them.
The co-sponsors; Mr. Keji Giwa, Mr. Oluseye Daniels, and Mr. Tayo Fida who are also friends of Engr. Olafemi while interviewing the participants, expressed satisfaction and dissatisfaction where necessary on the presentation.
The following youths are the beneficiaries with business grant prizes ranging from ₦100,000.00 to ₦300,000.00.
Adeola Micheal, Solomon Olawale Paul, Oluwaseun Favour Samuel, Afolabi Olaoluwa Fred and Babatunde Ezekiel.
Others are Aloko Ayobami Yewande, Joseph Henry Babatunde, David Eliezer, Adeyemo Oluwatosin, Joseph Solomon Babatunde, Ola Vincent Omotade, and Miracle Motilewa.
The proposal presented ranges from livestock farming, tailoring/fashion designing, aluminum construction, graphic design amongst others.
The co-sponsors unanimously expressed their readiness to partner with the businesses, mentor the youths and make sure their businesses grow.
Recall that open advertisement was thrown, requesting entry for the YOUPreneur Essay Competition from Youths Of YFC.
After several entries, about 12 Youths made it to Grand Finale of the empowerment opportunity.
The participants expressed their gratitude to Engr. Folorunsho Olafemi and friends for the opportunity given to them.
