OGBENI DAVID ONI SUNDAY OFFICIAL DECLARATION FOR HOUSE OF ASSEMBLY, YAGBA EAST CONSTITUENCY AT THE PARTY LOCAL GOVERNMENT SECRETARIAT EARLY HOUR TODAY AT ISANLU.
A young and vibrant Senior Special Assistant to the Governor from Yagba East local government are, Comr. Ogbeni Sunday Oni David has officially declare intention to run for the local government state assembly under the platform of All Progressive Congress(APC).
Ogbeni made the declaration at the party local government secretariat in Isanlu where he submitted his resignation letter as the SSA to the party Excos.
Ogbeni was overwhelmingly welcome by like-minded youths and women who came out in their numbers to join him to the party secretariat.
Ogbeni in a post on social media platform, he said "with humility, I submit myself for service. My youthfulness, skills, knowledge of terrain and understanding leadership issues, along with the guidance of elders will be used to provide quality representation to the people of Yagba East.
Today, I presented my resignation letter to the party faithfuls, this is in lieu to how serious and determine to serve my people better haven been tested with this appointment.
This resignation is in compliance with Section 84 (12) of the newly amended Electoral Act, as I have decided to contest in the 2023 general elections.
Meanwhile, I wish to profusely thank His Excellency, Alhaji Yahaya Bello, the Executive Governor of Kogi State for the wonderful opportunity given to me to serve this government in the capacity of Senior Special Assistant to the Governor on Industries and Productivity from 19th July 2022 to 14th of April, 2022. May the Almighty God reward him, protect and guide him in his administration and his 2023 presidential ambition in Jesus name.
