Worker’s Day: Elder Leke Abejide Says Yagba land will soon have a sigh of relief.

The Asiwaju of Alu And Yagba Federal Constituency foremost Aspirant has sent his goodwill message to the people of Yagba Federal Constituency and Kogi State at large on the celebration of workers day.

He commended Yagba workers for their  endurance and perseverance in the face of government of new direction in the state and urge them not to loose hope as they will soon have a sigh of relief.

In his words “Today I celebrate with our workers in Yagba land and Kogi State at large for their commitment and diligence to work despite passing through undeserved economic hardship occasioned by the non payment of their salaries by the state government for over two years now.

I feel the pains of those who lost loved ones to economic austerity in the State, Civil servants are one of the pillars of a working society and their welfare should therefore be the priority of a responsible and responsive government.

I wish Workers in my federal constituency of Yagba and Kogi State at large a happy workers day celebration and at the same time using this opportunity to assure them that a sigh of relief is on their way when salaries and pensions will be guaranteed.

He further said the opportunity for workers to change the narrative is near. The civil servants should be ready for this sigh of relief come 2019 elections.

When government not sensitive to the plight of the general populace, such government will be given a Red card to go home”

It’s going to be a collective efforts to liberate Kogi Workers from non payment of salaries or any form of percentage payments of salaries, he concluded.
