The newly crowned Miss Okun, Damilola Arowolo, said that her main priority would be to cater for the girl child in Okunland through empowerment
Damilola, said this after she emerged the overall winner out of the beautiful Okun girls that contested for the coveted position in the early hours of 30th December, 2017.
She also told newsmen that “her victory is the Lord’s doing’’.
The 13th Miss Okun was until her emergence Miss Ijumu, Ijumu LGA of Okunland in Kogi State and a student of Business Administration from the Kogi State University, Anyigba.
The event took place at the township hall, Aiyegunle Gbede in Ijumu LGA and was graced by several dignitaries.
Damilola , who hailed from Ayere, said that she would show her appreciation by living up to expectations during her reign.
“ I am really overwhelmed and grateful to God for giving me this opportunity to serve. I promise to fulfill every promise I make during my tenure,” she said.
