KOGI WEST 2019 ELECTION: KOGI WEST RESCUE GROUP endorses Chief (Mrs) Doyin Ibikunle Esanumi

The Kogi west rescue group, a political group comprising of youths from all the local government across the senatorial district, said it had endorsed Chief (Mrs) Doyin Ibikunle Esanumi as its candidate for the 2019 Kogi west senatorial election to replace Senator Dino Melaye.

The Coordinator of the group, Comr. Yusuf Okanlawon, announced this in a statement on Thursday, 20th December 2017 at the senatorial district headquarter , Kabba Kogi State.

Yusuf said that the decision to pick Chief (Mrs) Doyin Ibikunle Esanumi as the consensus candidate was arrived at after several meetings with the youth stakeholders across the senatorial district

According to him, after rigorous scrutiny of the numerous suitable candidates for the 2019 Senatorial Election, Chief (Mrs) Doyin Ibikunle Esanumi came top as the best aspirant for the Job in a closed ballot election among the group members.

Yusuf said, Chief (Mrs) Doyin Ibikunle Esanumi  style of leadership is anchored on trust, accountability, transparency, equity and sanctity of life. Not surprisingly, in line with his leadership principles, he has been carrying the ordinary citizens along, as well as changing their perception about governance.

Chief  has once again demonstrate her account  of stewardship  with  the forthcoming  recent empowerment  which  is planned to empower  5,000 widows  and woman  across the senatorial  district.

The Assistant Coordinator, Comr. Mohammed Joseph also said that the group consideration was not on party platform but on individual that had the capacity to win the election, a leader whom everyone is willing to give their vote to.

He added  “Our consideration is the candidate who is calm, calculated and has capacity to withstand the storm in running for election. “A political party is like the vehicle to get to the destination while the `passenger’ is the candidate. We are more interested in the candidate getting to the destination, which is victory.
‘’We don’t want to support a candidate for the sake of printing posters and mounting bill boards. We want to win.’’

Mohammed described Chief (Mrs) Doyin Ibikunle Esanumi  as cerebral, humane, quintessential, less-controversial, God fearing politician, experienced and national figure with capacity to win election.

"Chief (Mrs) Doyin Ibikunle Esanumi is from the Yagba Federal constituency which is believe to produce the next Senator in the district",Yusuf concluded
