It is with profound gratitude to Almighty God that I give this Goodwill Message on the occasion of this year’s Kabba Day Festival Celebration, which comes up on Saturday, 23rdNovember, 2018.
Indeed, the Annual Kabba Day celebration has grown to be a unique, veritable platform through which the legendary culture, music and cuisine of Oweland are showcased to the delight of our people, friends and associates. Also, the yearly socio-cultural event has become a rendezvous through which Owe sons and daughters converge and network in an atmosphere of true friendship, brotherhood and relationship.
No doubt, the consistency of the yearly event is a true reflection of the enviable time-tested attributes and serially-proven virtues of the Owe people; hard work, dynamism, dedication, persistence, sincerity, transparency, probity and pride.
As we savour the varied performances by Individuals and Groups at this year’s event, it is my hope and believe that with the collective passion, focus and commitment of us, all, the Kabba Day Festival; through proper branding, marketing and publicity, would be positioned as a National fiesta attracting tourists from within and without the country.
Finally, I wish to congratulate His Royal Majesty, Oba Solomon Owoniyi, the Obaro of Kabba, HRH Oba Michael Yusuf, Oba dofinof Kabba, HRH Oba Michael Ibinaiye, Obajemu of Kabba, and other Traditional Rulers on the occasion of this year’s KabbaDay. Also, I extend my felicitations to the Executive and Members of KabbaDevelopment Union, other socio-cultural Groups, students and trade Groups, Leaders, Elders, Men, Women, Youths and Visitors.
