Popular Nigerian musician Oluwajuwonlo Iledare, widely known as Jaywon, has expressed deep disappointment with Senator Sunday Karimi, the current senator of Kogi West in the Senate. Jaywon took to his verified Facebook page, ๐—๐—ฎ๐˜†๐˜„๐—ผ๐—ป ๐—ข๐—ฏ๐—ฎ ๐—ข๐—ฟ๐—ถ๐—ป, to criticize Karimi, who previously served as the House of Representatives member for Yagba Federal Constituency for eight years, for failing to bring meaningful development to his hometown, Egbe, and the broader Yagba West Local Government Area.

In his heartfelt post, Jaywon voiced frustration over the persistent challenges faced by his community. "It's truly sad that Senator Sunday Karimi has spent eight years in office, yet there's absolutely nothing to show for his time as a representative of his own constituency," Jaywon wrote. He highlighted the lack of progress in Egbe, noting that despite Karimi’s lengthy service, the town remains in a dire state.

Reflecting on his childhood, Jaywon recalled a time when infrastructure in Egbe was better maintained. "I remember when growing up years back in Egbe, we used to have good roads compared to now," he shared. Jaywon also criticized the abandonment of a promised power plant project, which was expected to drive development in the area.

Jaywon’s message resonated with many followers, reflecting broader frustration among residents who feel neglected by their representatives. "It’s time for real change and leadership that genuinely serves the people," Jaywon urged, calling on the youth to speak out against poor governance and demand better leadership.

As someone who grew up in both Yagba West and East of Okun land, Jaywon expressed sorrow over the lack of development in the region over the past four decades. "It’s really sad to see how little has changed," he remarked, stressing the need for new leadership to bring about meaningful progress in Yagba West Local Government.

Jaywon's post has sparked conversations about accountability and effective leadership in Nigeria, particularly in regions that have long been overlooked.
