All Progressive Congress, APC leading Governorship aspirant in Kogi State and formal Chief of Naval Staff, Vice Admiral Jibrin Oyibe Usman Rtd alongside other 19 aspirants stormed the APC National Secretariat to protest the adoption of indirect primaries in picking the party candidate ahead of the Governorship election in the state.
The aspirants and stakeholders insisted they were not consulted and not part of whatever decision made by the acclaimed state executive to adopt indirect primaries in the state which is in clear violation of the party constitution on the conditions to be met before adoption of any form of primaries.
Some of the protesters however displayed placards with inscriptions such as : Direct Primary We Stand ", " Bello Must Go", " We Support Direct Primary " and "Power Must Get Back To The People" .
