2019: ADC Kogi West Sets Agenda...to Flag Off Campaigns Dec. 29th

Members and Stakeholders of African Democratic Congress(ADC) in Kogi State are set to storm the Western Senatorial District of the State in order to flag-off issue based campaigns for the 2019 general election. The general campaigns will be flag-off in the district on the 29th December 2018 

In a Stakeholder meeting held yesterday at the Zonal Party Secretariat in Kabba, the Zonal Chairman, Honorable Kingsley Ogga said the party will engage in a rigorous campaign that will bring victory to the party at the polls.

Hon. Kehinde Asalu-ADC leader YAGBA FED. Constituency

Comr. Adesayo Ismail-State organising Secretary

Comr. Ajayi Rapheal Sunday- State youth leader

Alh. Bossi- ADC Leader Lkj/Koto Fed Constituency. 

Mr. Ayo kajotoni- Chairman Kabba/bunu ADC & chairman of chairmen Kogi west.

Hajia Rakiya Alfa- Zonal woman leader.

The Zonal Chairman of the party thanked God for the successful primary election and said ADC is the only party with credible candidates in the coming election. He thanked the party leaders mostly Chief Olowodola for his unprecedented support to the party. He urged the party candidates to be strong  because ADC is the only credible alternative in Kogi State today. ‘’The people in Kogi West are tired of PDP and APC and they have concluded to go along with ADC, they will collect their money but will still vote for us’’ he said.

Giving his remark, Engr. Olushola Olumoroti, a Former Governorship Aspirant in the State and who also represented Chief Olowodola admonished party members never to be discourage, he said just like ADC, the APC started under a cashew tree in Kogi West but today the same party is at the helm of affairs in the State and the Federal.

He said this is the time God has appointed for ADC candidates to become the elected representative of the people. 

‘’We have worked for PDP and APC but none have made any positive impact on the people, the roads aren’t getting better, no jobs or empowerment for the youths, he lamented. Olumoroti said ADC is a new wine in a new bottle but the party members must work hard and be ready to make sacrifice for the party.

‘’The people no longer want a representative that will jump from a moving G-Wagon to top of a tree and back to G-Wagon instead the people want and deserved someone who will push and lobby for Kabba-Egbe road to be fixed.

He urge all the party candidates to be focused and electorates friendly. The party Candidates present at the meeting include Alh. Shuaib Impimisho(Ijumu State Assembly), Chief. Alfred Aiyenale(Kabba/Bunu State Assembly), Omoluabi Olabode Adeyemi(Kogi West Senatorial Candidate), 

Hon. Zaccheaus Jonathan(Lokoja/Koto House of Reps) and Hon. Sule Iroko(Yagba East State Assembly).

Finally the stakeholders unanimously resolved to constitute the Zonal Campaign Council which will consist of three members per Local Government from the district, the campaign council will be mandate to organize, plan and formulate the modalities for every campaign in the district.
